"I need to start scoring goals quickly. Chuck me in on Saturday, I can swim so let's get on with things!"

Love it

That's the spirit Marcus.

Silence the critics on here! Give Ollessendro a chance to say I told you so!!? :D

I wonder what Bert would throw him into?

Back in the day before he became arch contestor of what does and doesn't constitute rocket science, Trig would have told you by now.

he doesnt need armbands so throw him in and see if he can swim against the kop.personally,i think he`s a decent signing.
if he doesnt score tomoz, dont right him off.

I have no doubt Marcus will score goals with a run in the side. He's got a good pedigree and we have seen what he can do before. That ability is still there and he has kept himself physically fit. He will prove to be a great acquisition and he's showing the right attitude as well.

UTB

He still looks healthy from that photo; I was worried he was going to be a bit chunky after not playing so much recently.

the boy will get 12 to 15 goals !!! any of you nay sayer want £10 on it ?

Let me get this straight first - you think Marcus Bent will score 12-15 goals and want £10 on it? If so, i'll take you up on it for £50.

Go on Marcus!!!!

Bag a goal on sat at the KOP end and watch the crowd go mental!!!!!

Yes, good on you Marcus.

Almost as good as 'What are the fans moaning about? It was only a miss.' Tosser.

By the end of the season? I'll have £5,000!

Having said that, Best wishes for your second time round Marcus. I'll settle for the first of twelve today!

Did well today I thought, caused Norwich trouble, used the ball well and spent a lot of time talking and encouraging others.

First half him and Ched were showing promising signs up front.

I was impressed with Bent today. He seemed to fade of in the second half as he tired out. His play in the first half was very good, he seemed to win everything in the air and had a great first touch and brought others in to play very well. Lets hope him and Evans can turn it on in the coming weeks.

When did he say this? :s

He said that or words to that effect after missing from under the bar at Hillsbrough. My first derby, Monty and Brown had clawed us back into it, and Bent missed from a spilt Brown freekick. His incompetence lost it, and to top it all off some local scumbags had broken into my Dad's car during the match.

That said, he played well enough yesterday.

Blimey, you know how to hold on to a grudge. Hope no one at Primary school looked at you a bit funny. They'll still be marked men even though they're in their forties

Very good ,both before and on his way off. Looked to have a bit of class ,played well and linked well with Evans who looks a totally different player to a few weeks ago. However Bent looks very short on match fitness and had cramp early in the second half.
