How many proper central midfield players do we have at the club that are fit to play?

What the fuck do we do with injuries or more suspensions?

We have 2 btw - Fleck and Lundstram - and yes, discounting Caruthers.

Sign 2 in the JTW - whether permanent or loan - or, bring Whiteman back.

If he is on an immediate recall then fine - we had a similar problem when Ched got sent down - we didn't for various reasons have adequate cover.

All this talk about Ryan Leonard and I’ve got to say his stats this season don’t match up to Ben Whiteman’s. Both playing in the same league for similar placed teams. Banging in goals for fun and the best thing about it is he's one of our own. Why not give the lad a chance? He's younger and will cost nothing.

I think it's a no brainer. We've currently got no CM cover on the bench and Chris doesn't seem to feel Slater is ready.

Bring one in and bring Whiteman back. It means that's one less worry with midfield cover. 2 midfielders on the bench.

I'm presuming Lafferty may leave and he's covering a role he currently can't really play in.

I sat behind him a couple of years ago when we beat Peterborough, and got increasingly pissed off as he whined and whinged and slated his own players.

At one bit, he was screaming at his own winger over and over again 'Shitbag, shitbag!'.
I said 'Just listen to this c***, calling his own player a shitbag, what a c***'.
Turned out he was shouting 'shinpads'.

Whiteman won’t be a starter here. The lad is gaining invaluable experience. Before CW come in he would be close to the first team but we have moved upwards and the young lads have to try and cope.

Whiteman seems to be coping to get a few games for us next year so well done to the lad.

He might not be a starter here, but if we can't get an attacking mid in and Brooks goes or is ill, then surely its a no brainer to bring him back? We could have done with him in the last few games but I would fully expect Wilder to bring in a loan player anyway.

Why don’t we do what Wolves did with EEL last season?? Bring him back to spend a few days with the squad, assess where he’s at and if he’s come on and is good enough, he stays with us; if he needs more development, he can be loaned back to Donny.
