Their fans don't rate, him, the club seemingly doesn't want him, out of contract in 11 months....3m lmfao.

Looking at his positions played last year he had a large chunk of them at left-back, with a mix of left and centre-midfield thrown in. At 5’7 he’s not going to be challenging JOC for LCB, so for me he’d be cover for Stevens and Fleck.

He played 44 games last season, 2 goals and 5 assists. He also was their player of the season at the end of the 2017/18 season - as voted by fans so their fans must have rated him then. Its a new manager though int it, maybe he isn't as fussed.

Seems like the Fleck transfer this one!

That's not entirely true though well at least on the Forest forum I looked at last night.
Most thought he was a good player or at least there was a good player in there.
He seems to have suffered from not nailing down a position, he seems to be able to play about 3 different positions, but their last 3 managers have all kept picking him.
If you go back to the beginning of the thread I looked at which started when he made is debut in 2014 I think they saw him has quite a prospect.
Some also say that if any manager can find him a position of his own then Wilder can.
They also can't fault his work ethic something which we know Wilder likes so maybe Chris has seen something in him, and at 2-3 Million it's not that bigger gamble.

Has to be said, another target that appears to be below the standard needed in the Premier League.

Actually, it doesn't 'have to be said'.

CW surprised us all with how effective Duffy is, no-one saw what a player Fleck would be and Egan/JOC were both written off by Brentford fans.

I prefer to trust CW to do his job and wait and see who we end up with, but each to his own.

I watched this lad a couple of times and he looked quite useful to me, particularly when he just broke into their first team. I think for £3m he’s a low risk addition and would give us an option in two or three positions.

I dismiss the notion that he’s no good. I’ve seen him do good things for Forest. Hard to keep shining for a club going nowhere though. Any player would stagnate there after a while. Lad probably needs some new scenery and to work under one manager for a while instead of several. Who’s going to develop their game when they’re getting a different message every six months?

He's never played there, so how do you know?

Osborn is a decent player, always puts in a good shift & is versatile.
Had Adama in his back pocket when he played left back against Boro a couple of seasons ago.
I reckon he was one of the people who complained about our last managers training methods
You can up your derisory £3 million for him to about 8 or 9 please

Remember to give him an oar if you go white water rafting

He was their POTY a couple of seasons back, so I think part of the reason he's not particularly well liked by Forest fans is because he's a Derby fan.

Sounds like a Wilder signing all over. Appreciate it’s only one Forest fans opponion but thought worth sharing below as it seems balanced. Seems to have an idea of our system as well and how he would fit in.... annnndd corrects his own spelling

Fucking hell, he seems quite balanced ^

I think this deal will be done quickly. Don't see why not. They can't demand a big fee. We'll be the only club for him.

I hope we do sign him. My cousin played with him at youth level for Forest and rates him very highly.

He’s got a good left foot, works hard, likes a tackle and can shoot from distance.

This could be a good signing for us, even as a squad player.

Yeah we need to be realistic.

Osborn signing isn't going to get most of our supporters' juices flowing but with the number of players needed we wont be able to sign all big hitters.

Freeman, Jags, Osborn all seem like sensible solid acquisitions but you'd expect we'd be looking at 2 or 3 bigger signings on paper now. Maybe more if Morrison and Lynch don't cut the mustard.

Forest fan I was working with a few weeks ago was waxing lyrical about him as one of their few decent performers. Covers a couple of positions, right age, fairly local, won't cost a fortune, played 200+ Championship games, could prove to be quite a shrewd acquisition.

Have always like the look of him when I have seen him tbf. Hope this one comes off, will add some decent depth to the squad.

Osborn fair enough

But we all know we are very light in the striker department and the two strikers we need will probably define our season
