Grbic was 100% a Wilder signing. Joined in January 2024, a month into the reign of King Christopher II. You could easily add Rodwell and Morrison into the mix though.

You could make up two full teams of players Ferguson, Mourinho and Wenger signed who were crap for Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Grbic was Matt Dukes recommendation. I know of Matt & he's confessed that his stats were really good. I presume Wilder & the recruitment team signed it off though
 
The kid has got genuine issues that sadly are far from uncommon in football.

It's something I briefly experienced 20 years ago and thankfully avoided going down the worst of the route I could have. I certainly didn't do my job to the best of my ability for several months and my seniors weren't exactly sympathetic to a genuine issue that dragged me down to a very low point.

Then we've got cunts who don't care because he earns lots of money.

If he has any ( does he or is that a line people have picked up and run with?) of course he has my best wishes and I hope he gets those sorted and his career or future back on track.

Not aware of any mental health issues that make you tweet vague nonsense like an attention seeker but it seems Mo Salah has exactly the same one so best wishes to him too 🙄

And while I sympathise he earns in one week what I earn in two years.

As you can imagine, illness or no, I cannot afford to be off work. Zero days off due to issues. Would rather not lose the house ta. So i do question the lads professionalism

I know what at least part of his issue is and it's something that shouldn't be shrugged off due to salary and something I've had lower level experience of
 



We’ve done well to beat the disaster of the Mason Holgate signing, but Godfrey definitely ticks the box.

Or the other way of looking at it is the club have been supportive of him and have allowed him the time off on full pay… something your employer hasn’t done.

Like you I continued to work but I can see the appeal of not having to go out to work and engage with people if you don’t have to.

When it comes to mental health everyone is different and handle/cope in different ways

So last year I was offered a much better paying job, I wasn't in a great space mentally at the time and knew I wouldn't be able to be perform as they would expect so I turned them down. I could have taken it and done fuck all for 6 months and earned a hell of a lot more money but I'm not a mercenary

He's on loan, not come for a much better job.
We have zero information on his thought process coming here, or what has happening the interim. So why assume he's done it for mercenary reasons??

True, but we could also add into the mix players like George Baldock, Enda Stevens, JOC, John Egan, Mark Duffy, John Fleck, Ollie Norwood, David McGoldrick, Leon Clarke, Dean Henderson, Jake Wright, Gary Madine, Richard Stearman, all of whom did well for us. And there are many others.

But why assume that he hasnt either? It hardly looks (from the outside) that hes particularly tried to fit into the club. Until such time as evidence suggest otherwise, i will think the lad has used SUFC as a cash cow for providing sod all in return. More fool United though, the lad has issues and they were well known about in the football world before we signed him on loan. Daft.

Whatever the circumstances, I'd hope we can avoid piling in on the lad, until we know more.

"27 and out..." suggests he's done with football altogether.

Because he would have got paid at his parents club if he didn't.
To look at situation from the outside and not know any facts. At all. and just assume someone is being devious isn't how I think.
 
So in the Ipswich he puts in the most cowardly performance against lads half his size, gets absolutely bodied by Jack Clarke, a player half his size, and now he reckons he’s gonna be a fighter.

A staggering display of ignorance regarding what impact mental health issues can have. I take it you weren’t at the Lane recently when Mike McCarthy gave such an insightful speech on behalf of Baton of Hope, the suicide awareness charity.

Spoiler alert for any other cretin who thinks that having money protects someone from severe mental health issues. It doesn’t.
