I know this sounds like another FMBlade weird idea but I think it could help.

Several players aren't match fit or up to speed with tactics etc. and as they can't play in reserve team fixtures anymore there's a lack of opportunity to get themselves settled in beyond training.

The injuries are clearing up slightly and we have a larger squad, perhaps a couple of low-key behind door friendlies could be organized to get them ready?

Decent idea, but we're playing 2 games a week most weeks so playing a friendly might not be possible.

Imagine the meltdown when somebody gets crocked for the rest of the season.

True, but no risk no reward.

Players can injured in training as well.

International break is next month, for once I'm looking forward to it as it'll give us some time to sort things out.

We clearly don’t work on patterns of play or set pieces in training so we may as well sack it off and play friendlies!

I think we work on set pieces to some degree but in terms of pattern of play we don't appear to.

A shame as the old Wilder team was built on a pattern of play and system that was very much drilled into the players.

When between today and Wednesday would you suggest it takes place ?

Definitely not a weird idea, it already happens. Or at least it used to happen fairly often so would assume it still does - used to be against the fairly local teams within an hour or so.

Hard to know when/where they happen without inside knowledge as they could be anywhere, either clubs stadium or training ground or pretty much any neutral stadium or other clubs training ground in between the 2 clubs.
