I know it's just a small point and I know I run the risk of sounding like a moaning old man....again, but when the specialist sports reporter says something like, "There was little between Sheffield United and Barnsley at Bramall Lane" you know they've either looked at the scoreline and just guessed, or are afraid of upsetting their Barnsley viewers by saying it as it was, a Blades domination.
Tossers.

You're not moaning pal, if someone speaks utter bollocks then they need pulling up.

I said exactly the same to my missus

Its a Yorkshire thing
being kind to the whippet breeders

he cant mention we were British Airways first class and Barnsley were Flybe economy

Original script was "2 teams who aren't from Leeds played out a boring 1-0 in front of a crowd many thousands less than leeds would have got. We didn't go to the game, as it wasn't in Leeds, but it was played in a stadium a few miles from meadowhall, which we're told is like a poor man's white rose centre. Neither have an airport, unlike leeds. When they play at Elland Rd, Leeds, we will not show any goals or significant chances they create, for fear of upsetting our millions of Leeds viewers. Neither team have ever gone bust days after relegation, leaving many companies unable to pay the wages of their hard working employees, many from, er, Leeds (cut that bit). now back to the look north (Korea) studio for for a story about a man who misplaced his wheelie bin in Garforth, Leeds.

They can't go to in depth for Leeds and West Yorks viewers...they don't understand any sport that's not played with an egg shaped ball.

That'd be the lead item on Look North.

"This weekend it's the 205th Hillsborough Pig Show. We go over live to Harry Gration now, he's talking to reigning champion, Tango"

Barnsleys own co commentator on radio Sheffield even said they offered nothing... so also inconsistent from the BBC

Upsetting viewers in Barnsley? Have they even got electricity?

The journos, presenters and techies who produce this stuff all live in Leeds, so it's hardly surprising they should all be homers. We have a Look North up here and the bias in favour of the Mags is obvious. Mackems a poor second. Smoggies nowhere. Similarly in old Granadaland where the scousers continuously moan about the preference for the Manc teams.
The most blatant example is national TV and press where the coverage given to the big London clubs is out of all proportion. Remember Tevez ?
