Barnsley would receive just over £5 million if this does go through. just asking my fellow blades if they do get the money and spend it right do you think they will be contenders?

You'l have to factor all the relevants costs into this. Wages, agents fees, player's wages etc, so given that it might reduce the wriggle room that Barnsley have. A nice figure of course, but who's to say it'll be used entirely on the playing side of the business? Perhaps there are pressing demands elsewhere that are crying out for attention. So it's a bit like the Tevez money, we got a figure, reportedly, of around £20 million, but what happened as a consequence.....you tell me?

If they got 5 million, I can't see them spending more than 1 or 2 million of it. I'm sure the rest would go towards paying any debts off. Makes perfect sense imo.
