Hamer has had a tight calf for a while, yet usually plays through it.
Wilder said in his Friday press conference that we were already looking at reinforcements for January, whether we have funds to pursue them————- - who knows
 
Fuck it. I'm going to Hillsborough till we get better uninjurable players.

We've actually been very lucky with injuries so far, however as often happens it catches up with you eventually
 
Too many variables in play. It’s a long season in the championship. If we are in contention around Easter then who knows. One game at a time folks.
 
Twists and turns part and parcel. JTW all will strengthen , need some clever signings

I'll never say no chance , but we are going to suffer from absences with our thin squad.

Without reinforcements and investment to do so - we won’t go up imo

Our squad is thin and brittle .

When we can play our first selection we have a chance - the layers below that are thin .

Moore - out
Replacement , Campbell ? withdrawn due to a tight hamstring and is injury prone - replacement/ replacement, Brewster - honestly , do we have to debate ? Replacement , One - again come on we’re talking about promotion over 46 games .
Arblaster , out for season , Peck , replacement , not proven - goes missing and is erratic but great potential . Davies - replacement ? See Brewster .

Back ups - Shackleton and the lad from Norwich - back ups if we are desperate - but first teamers ? Come on fella ….

Robinson - no problem .

We are gradually being worn away and we are suffering as a result of not recruiting at least 2 more forwards and a left winger .

What if... And just bare with me on this
What if... Moore comes back from Injury and plays football again.?
 
Really it's not the time to be posting this on a day when our only available senior striker goes off with a tight hamstring and one member of our brilliant CB pairing totally stupidly gets himself banned for 3 games 2 of which are v promotion rivals.
Any sane Blade would be a bit disappointed with these two factors on top of losing Blaster for the season.
It's ok to acknowledge difficulties.
A big unknown is when Moore can return and be fully fit - he was excellent at Ewood , then a freak twist.
If Robbo comes in at CB we are down to one remaining sub CB in RND who isn't really a CB.
We have to pray for some better luck this week , no more injuries and a lecture to the players about unnecessary yellows & reds.
It feels like a long way to January so if we are gonna strengthen it needs to happen early.
We are now missing our two 6'5" lads so the team is denuded of height.
Whoever we get in January , I'm hoping for a tall athlete , whether at CF , CB or MF.

Lots will depend on January.

If we have no money or have to sell then we'll not be in the top 2.

Squad is fairly paper thin in most positions. Lose a few players to injury and we're relying on unreliable players.

Davies hardly played. Brewster hardly played.
Moore has been out for the past couple of games and is likely to miss a fair few more, Arblaster out for a least a few months, Campbell hasn’t been fully fit for most of the season either.

I think you over-egged it with “very lucky with injuries”.
