Replace if possible. If we make a sizeable loss on him, so what. It's inevitable anyway. Might as well get it done now
 
Replacements for him wouldn't have to be left footed btw. We get next to no benefit from his left foot
 
The Rusty Austin.
I had high hopes for him, poty at Birmingham last season but looks absolutely lost at this level. Maybe a move will be best all round.
 
I'm still hoping he does exactly what Robinson has. He also looked dreadful and an absolute bomb scare in our first season. Since then he's gradually improved, found his confidence and become a big player for us.

The fact that Trusty has done it before at championship level gives me some confidence that it's a possibility.
 
No strength, no pace, definitely no football brain. What's not to like about him? Terrible player, almost as clueless as Max 'All Time' Lowe. Imagine setting up with the two of them on the left side of defence next season, fucking terrifying.

Didn't he have the best (Opta?) stats for last season though? Might be better in the Championship... that said I'd take what we paid for him in a heartbeat.

Coutts and Bashams performances in their first season weren't even in the same universe as what Anel, Trusty and Souza have turfed out this season.

The key defensive players in a team thats conceded 101 goals, are people still struggling to get their head round this?
 
If we can make a profit get rid, if not happy for him to stay, we need good Championship players with potential which he clearly has.

He won't be facing Salah and De Bruyne each week
 
We aren’t playing in top league next season so let’s see how he does in champ, alongside an Egan or someone similar

I honestly don't wanna find out, we're already 2 points behind the entire league and the fans need to see performances asap. We can't afford to be pissing points away with this clown at the back

This isn’t a comment aimed at you btw but I do think we as a fan base do overreact sometimes

I’m not saying we are going to piss the league next year by any means or that Trusty will even turn it around but if he did and he was alright then that wouldn’t surprise me either

He's been utterly abysmal and I don't see a situation where he's ever not a horrendous overpay on his fee.

But Jack Robinson dragged himself from where he was (almost unpickable) to being a competent Championship defender who could occasionally play above that. I suppose Trusty could do something similar and end up as an OK Championship starter.

But it'll need to be a huge improvement
 
Looks better centrally in a 3. These players are way too good for him. Will he be okay in the championship?

Anel was good in the championship and terrible this season. Let’s hope Trusty is like this.

He demonstrated all of those traits before joining us. Maybe there’s a little more to it.
