If it was to protect Baldock's fitness, we will never know whether 4 full games in 9 days would have led to another injury lay-off for him. It is possible that the 'mistake' in the long run turns out for the best. We just don't know. But I for one would never accuse people who disagree with me of being mindless peasants just for having a different opinion. That is what a forum is for.

If your correspondent doesn’t realise that a degree of ‘rotation’ is absolutely inevitable in modern football and doesn’t understand why Baldock and The Don were obvious candidates for a ‘rest’ then that impacts on the quality of their opinion.

It’s an old but true adage that ‘every one is entitled to an opinion’. That necessarily permits an opinion that the other party hasn’t a clue. I often have, and indeed offer, such an opinion. I’m entitled to it, you see.

Agree with the OP completely. The thing is for where we are on the budget we have there is no need to criticise in the over dramatic way a lot in here are, it serves no purpose.

They’ve given us 18 months of the best football I’ve ever seen blades play. It’s been easy to support and back the team so far.
