Ground hold 32,700.

Subtract 1,000 netted seats over away end lower tier seats

Subtract 1,500 unsold Scunny seats on bottom tier.

Subtract 500 off netted seats over top tier on the away end

Subtract 500 seats on South stand and Family stand

Subtract 1,200 unsold seats on The Kop.

So should be very close to 28,000.
Didn't realise there were so many seats netted off. That sucks.

It's about 2,000 seats netted off meaning our stadium capacity is now about 30,500 but that figure includes quite a lot of part restricted views.

It's absolutely bollocks. What was the point in the club paying for the installation of 2,000 seats we're never allowed to use? You don't see this happening with the Manchester clubs, even when they play each other. Just 1 line of stewards

If we were back in the PL then I would expect our capacity to go back to over 32,500 again.

I think some of these restrictions relate to policing costs. SU might be out of pocket if we increase capacity and whilst we're out of the PL we can't afford the extra policing costs.

Exactly - ridiculous.

You ar right about the last 6 seasons, there ahsn't been much opportunity, but I think the Championship will throw up these problems.
All this week there has been only single seats available in SS - Westfield was similar. If I wanted to sit on John Street, I can't as no kids in tow now.

My point is that this week - United fans have had little choice in where they could sit except the kop. That isn't good enough for our fans.

Point taken about the kop though. I keep hearing about the extra 4K seats added to the back of the kop. What a disaster that would be. The kop should be left exactly as it is, until we can afford to drop the lot and start again.

The club needs to be creative in offering seats to our fans, not the opposition.

Next season: 3K seats, BL lower is all the opposition should have.

I think the Championship will only throw up these problems if we do well

If we struggle (provided we get there of course) I only see gates improving marginally for our home support. The main increase at Bramall Lane will come the away supporters and in most cases we have enough capacity to accommodate them

I know none of us has a crystal ball, but at this moment in time I don't see the home support increasing enough for the board to consider it enough of an issue for them to take radical action and chuck millions at it

The only way I see it happening is our return to the promised land

I could solve the problem in two minutes;

Put the ticket prices up by 20% when we get promoted and our attendances will be lower than this season. Easy.

Capacity without Bramall Lane end is about 26K. Knock off 1K for a few scattered and pillar seats. Add 3K from Scunny and you get around 28K.

So 27785 for me.

And 4-0.

Been down today for a ticket for the father. Top corner of Kop (restricted view) still available. Single seat pockets elsewhere. Was told South Stand was completely sold out.

Not sure about Family.

Looked online and only the Kop is available for purchase.

4 pints of Jaipur, a 4-0 win, 28,000 in the ground and our nearest promotion rivals sent back to Scum-thorpe with a Made In Sheffield Size 12 up their arse.

"Dear Lord, I know you don't hear from me much these days, but....................."

Not many left for Bolton game in south stand now either

So because we've unnecessarily given Scunny and Bolton the entire Bramall Lane end and the family stand is impenetrable to anybody who hasn't got kids, the best case scenario for home fans wanting tickets now is getting a single seat behind the pillars on the Kop.

I hope they learn from this for the Bradford game.

If we beat scunny and bradford do their bit, gives us a good 10 point cushion between us and bolton when they visit the lane. Everything crossed it goes our way.

Not sure if im right but if we sell our other tickets in other parts of the ground can we then sell them on John Street?

I wonder why sCUNThorpe can't pay on the day?
Loads of additional capacity, away sales kiosk right outside the away end.
Many a time I've decided to pitch up at an away game on impulse, on the day. Surely there would be a couple of hundred more ticket sales for the coffers?
