Atmosphere like a morgue.

Ice said if already, and I'll say it again.

The atmosphere will be back next season.

We should've pissed this league years ago.

The team, managers, fans and owners all took a massive hit 5 years ago, it was a horrible gut wrenching blow....... But we are healed from that.

But we are not healed from the Robson debacle that is now to come, and, as it comes, slowly, the lane will become the bear pit couldran mother fuckin inferno that we all, deep down, know it to be

The club have been right on point giving the ground back to the fans with the whole BLUT today. I swear to God most of the sad gets in their today should have gone to a fucking garden centre not a match. I was embarrassed we were live given the shit vocal support.
Hate to say this but I genuinely think in our position today the fucking pigs would have rocked the joint especially given the great football on show.
A couple sat behind me spent the whole fucking match talking about the behaviour of some cunt in an episode of some fucktard soap opera. Disappointing vocal support.
You must have been sat next to me . I am afraid I don't sing much as my voice just packs in. I'm there in spirit, just haven't got the voice. But what the f were they rattling on about. I thought they must have been Bradford fans. To be honest I needed a bit of Dutch courage to free up my voice, but left the house with the wrong tickets in my pocket and had to turn back and just made it before kick off.

Watched it on sky as on hols but sounded decent. Either way why have a go at other blades. If you want to sing, sing. If you don't, don't. Simple as. The people who don't sing don't come on here to have a go at those who do.

I'm not going to suggest for a second the atmosphere in S6 is better than ours, but there's no doubt it was very quiet today for large periods.

Nerves? Nope, we've already won the league.
Small away following? Nope, 3k Bradford fans there.
Poor opposition? On the day yes, but they're still 4th in the league.

Getting an atmosphere going at BL needs a total rethink and I'm going to look into setting up something like the Gallowgate Flags thing here.

We need to do something. Like the Gallowgate Flags idea.

G and H in South Stand were in fine voice.

It was our first visit to the Westfield and I was pleasantly surprised how vocal it and the South Stand were!! Tempted not to return to our usual seats in the Family Stand.

Fair play the guys in the South Stand gave it to the Bradford fans all game!

Can only echo what a few people have already said in that it sounded alright on TV, better than most previous televised games in any case. Think everyone's foot was off the pedal second half

In fairness there were a few quiet periods, especially second half, but at times the atmosphere was fine.

Unfortunately having already sealed promotion and the title, and people preparing for MK and Chezzie, was always going to stop a sell out and the buzz wasn't going to be the same as if we'd needed a result today.

When we played Leeds after our last promotion the atmosphere wasn't much different.

Next season with the teams coming and their support, it will be bouncing.

I certainly can't agree with this 'no home fans sing for 90mins mantra'. I'm from Bradford, and have attended both Bradford and Leeds home games with mates this season (and previous). I can confirm both of those clubs' fans sing for virtually the 90minutes irrrespective of opposition or result.

Our fans aren't particular vocal, and I don't think it matters until I see people claiming what a great atmosphere Bramall Lane is, because truthfully it isn't.

I turned up hoping/expecting a real carnival atmosphere today and it was so disappointing. I even remember Bradford fans singing 'champions and you still don't sing' at a point. Such a shame that today was the perfect opptortunity to get the ground rocking and it just never did.

That the ground wasn't exactly the party we were hoping for. I sit half way back in the Kop and no one within 10 seats of me sang at any point in the game. I think of you what singing/atmosphere you need to be attending away games. They are a different kettle of fish! BL just isn't quite the couldron of noise I wish it was.

The problem was that not at any stage of the 90 minutes was this a game. They were as wank as we were amazing.

I think most people were shocked at how shit they were for a team in their position. Absolute garbage

Watching Derby v Huddersfield now, atmosphere is much quieter than at the Lane earlier - you could argue that Derby don't really have anything to play for and the atmosphere has suffered but it's flat. BL earlier was not.

Today certainly wasn't an amazing atmosphere.

However having been to Elland Road and Valley Parade many many times I'll have to raise a wry smile at some of your comments.

Indeed prior to cheap tickets the support at Bradford was usually pitiful in both numbers and noise.

I can't disagree with the OP in all honesty. Wasn't just today, against Millwall and Coventry there were a few starting to get on the players backs unnecessarily in my view and the atmosphere was muted, showing lack of patience. Though bear in mind all clubs have their share of 'strange' fans. Wasn't terrible by any stretch and will pick up I'm sure :) As others have said when we are underdogs its electric!

(p.s when is it appropriate to complain about things? Is there a rule it can't be on a winning match day or something?)

Moan about getting giddy and running on the pitch ,moan about not getting giddy and not singing loud. Can we moan about those who just get a bit giddy ,I feel left out.

Supporters who get a bit giddy ......

...... Twats !

Kop was decent for a lot of the game but could've been better.

No surprise it was shite on the upper tier - it currently seems to attract the...... less passionate types. Shame about the number of empty seats too, but the club were right not to give Bradford any of the upper (although why they couldn't open the end block on the lower for them I have no idea).

Today showed what an opportunity we've got to do something with the upper tier. There were plenty of empty seats centrally, and if we could get 200 or so up there who'll sing then it could be the start of something good.

Yeah, like me Ricky...........a less passionate Blade who drove 400 mile round trip to get to the Lane and sang as best I could in the BLUT - it wasn't shite at all - there was a really good atmosphere up there.

The price of their tickets isn't relevant though is it.

I thought the atmosphere was good today. One slight criticism, I wish there wasn't music blasting out in the run up to kick off as the atmosphere can build up before the game. I remember the first Sheffield derby when we were back in the top flight in 1991,for half an hour before kick off both sets of fans were in full voice. Now any chanting would be drowned out by music.

There are alot of fans who go to the game that dont chant, its their right to support their way, my group dont chant, but sing the gcb.
Fans who dont chant aren't the problem but the thugs who like to ruin the day by running onto the pitch, setting off smoke flares, fight ect are.
I expect the scum will be doing the same at MK Dons and last home match.

No. Bradford played as well as they were allowed to. Proof of how good we were is that McCall was forced to make a substitution after just 20 minutes - tactical, not injury. I was watching McCall and his body language seemed to show he was shocked and surprised at how good the Blades were.

Next season's Blade on Blade infighting marathon is bubbling up nicely.

I can smell it already.

Great day . Fine weather , champions , top of the league . No fucker flouncing in and out today counting likes , 3 - 0 win . Are we becoming spoilt with expectations high on everything even the Dba sound level of the atmosphere .

Remember . Bit like after the Lord Mayors show .

We were up for it , and we're already up.

There was an old guy in my seat in the SS who got up at the crack of dawn, filled up with Farmers Blonde before the game, and sang as loudly and as often as he felt like!

He enjoyed the atmosphere and sharing it with his mates, as he has in good loud times and bad quiet times for 46 years.

He's sitting in the Square Bottle back in Chester now typing this and oiling a very tired throat!

In my experience the atmosphere at a match is what you make around you. 5 guys together singing about magic hats can have a great time, even in a morgue!

Mind you SBT, Jennifer Aniston would have brightened things up even more!

On another tack entirely, when you watch England play and the soft centre they have had at the back, and then imagine Harry and Jack side by side with Tufty managing them in 2022 it makes the juices run.

The Magic Really is Back.

Len Badger was sitting near me today and he was loving it.
