anyone else notice the reaction of the players, in previous years they would have just shrugged their shoulders, waved to the fans, trotted off down the tunnel and moved on.

i never like a defeat but the reaction yesterday just proves to me what this squad is about, half of them sat on the pitch, half with head in hands, you would have thought they had just lost an fa cup final with how down they looked

ridiculously proud to be a blade right now, even in defeat they leave everything out there

Too right mate saw it.

Even though i was frustrated and disappointed, that is the way to lose if you have to.

I didn't fancy yesterday for no other reason that I just couldn't see them losing 4 on the bounce at home.

They took their goals well but our defending gave them the opportunity. We're not going to go through a season without mistakes, and some will cost us.

What yesterday showed was that we're consistent and if we continue in this same vein then we'll finish higher than I anticipated at the start of the season.

just realised like a tool i posted this in the wrong forum

And forest celebrated like they'd won a big game!

I think we know what it means to these players and they know that normally if they put those levels of effort in, with the quality we have, we'll get three points

I say it all the time , all we ask as Blades fans ,
is for the players to represent our club with the same pride we have in our club .
We won't win every game , we will go on bad runs ,
All we ask is to leave it all on the pitch , if we as fans see our team putting in a hard tackle ,
putting there bodies on the line we will accept a defeat ( we won't like it no one does )
but at least put in the effort , our team has Blades , running it , managing it , and captaining it ,
they know what we want to see , they won't and we won't put up with shite performances ,
Ask some of these same players after the gillingham game in shitkins first away game , what the fans thought of them .

As long as we bounce back with another 6 game unbeaten from 7 then I'm happy.

Yes they left nothing out there did they?

totally knackered and gutted, great to see.

The Hull ovation was after their 5th and was a reaction to the same thing. A team giving everything. Good memory

As has been said, the international break has come at a good time fir us, quarter of the new season gone, sit back and enjoy what we have achieved, relax a little, and slowly build up to our next game in a couple of weeks and start on the next quarter up to Christmas and look back and enjoy being in the top six going into the new year.

Top spot. I aint joking. I honestly don't think anyone in the division can live with us. I've never seen a United side dominate teams week after week like we're doing now.

Agree with your sentiments tom, didn't want to come over as billy big bollocks, but ok, I'll settle for top spot:-)

Making a home team play like an away team is a common occurrence when watching us. Can’t win them all, but CW/AK and the players are giving it a damn good go.

I still think top spot is possible, don't care if anyone thinks I am nuts. Not saying we will be there at the end of the season, but I think (if only for one week), we can do that, it would be an achievement in itself.

You can only go on what you see graps, and after a 1/4 of the season it is fair enough to have a good idea of how the season will pan out, obviously suspensions, injuries etc will come into play but it does for everyone else, basing it on what we have seen, why not? Nobody on here will be kidding themselves but our optimism has gone through the roof since the first match and even in defeat, Middlesborough, Norwich and forest we have shown our quality, keep it up until the end of the year and the transfer window could be one our most exciting ever,
