If we're going to collapse, let's do it early doors and avoid any unnecessary pain on the last day.
Showing good early signs we can do it.

I think we’ve all been guilty of rank complacency. We should always consider our history and the ineptitude that has run parallel with it for as long as I can remember. Even the good times have been built on fragile ground and were always seen as fleeting and temporary periods of time.
But this season was going to be so different. That wonderfully rare SUFC feeling amongst fans that our beloved club were actually going achieve their goals in a stress free and efficient manner…has sadly turned to shit again.
What other club would sabotage its own chances of success, by having ownership troubles smack bang in the middle of what was shaping up to be such a glorious canter to promotion?
Look, it might still be a successful end to the season, but after the whittling down of our seemingly unassailable points cushion, you can’t blame fans for having that gut wrenching feeling of déjà vu.

Where promotions are concerned we usually do what we need to do if it gets as far as the last day.

It's at the other end of the table where we are very good at snatching unlikely relegations from the jaws of almost certain safety!
