LOL - sorry for the late reply, but I find a pint not too bad, even quite complimentary, with the curry - three or four, then sure, it's about 4am for me visiting to WC...

BTW - loving a good curry myself, what are they like in the Isle of Erin?

Yeah, s'pose here in Braddie we're a bit spoilt. Lucky my wife & I love the stuff. One just opened a stone's throw from our home, with an chef who actually cooked for a really popular restaurant here. Absolutely fantastic meals...my mouth's watering already o_O

But, that said, I expect your Guinness is equally better than what we get here?

Argh! I really like a Guinness but never seem to have it becasue 9 out of 10 places here serve something unrecognisable. Extra Cold? What in God's name......
 
can't drink more than 2-3 pints of the black stuff when i go home cause it's rubbish to get a decent if exspenive pint than you do have to have it over here when your finishing your pint you order 1 a couple of mins before hand as it has to sit then they cut of the head so to speak then top it up again then leave it to settle to get rid of the bubbles ensuring the pint is black and the head roughly 3/4 inch is white,you now when you've had a good un as the head follows the drink down the glass as you sup it,we have a large nigerian pop over here and they have there own brand of guinness which is stronger still,don't know if you've got it yet but there's a black guinness lager out over here[i think its poo].over in october maybe hook up??oldham home .

This sounds mouthwatering - if only we had such care, but must be said, I know a few pubs that take equal care of their 'real ales' here in Yorkshire (the county of real beer and brewing :D )...

I've had the 'Nigerian' export in bottle but never on draught. Not bad actually but you can't quite beat the proper stuff in a pub. As for Guiness Lager - it already sounds repugnant. Think I'll stick with the porter and stouts...
