Gave the ball away a lot tho
He always will give it away more than Peck or Jairo etc. Because his game is different. When he plays we're a lot more progressive moving forwards with the ball. He sees the pass out wide, he'd rather play the ball into feet forwards than going back to the keeper 8 times out of 10.

He had better play balls into feet at Millwall as neither Campbell or Cannon win headers.

Sorry if that makes me 'blind' or 'a bitter old fart' but if that's all the likes of the message board Lenny Mclean (Nick Jansky) can come back at me with, you're kind of proving my point.
Lenny McLean 😂

Whereas you come across like a vastly inferior Jamie Hoyland 😂😂

Are you sure you weren’t acting on a consultancy basis for the summer recruitment?

Excellent cameo today.

Really? He gave the ball away a few times, passed it sideways a couple of times, did manage to intercept one of their passes but still looked way off it. Excellent is a stretch to say the least. “Ok” would be an accurate description. I know people are desperate for him to be brilliant, and I’d be very pleased if he turned out to be so, but I’ve yet to see any signs that he will.

He passed the ball forward accurately a number of times and broke the deep midfield line and the gap between.the middle and final third with close control and ball carries multiple times. Very difficult skills done well and accurately.

Might be me but I thought Blaster did alright, not everything came off but looked like he was getting back to his old self.

Frustrates me hugely that people can't see the difference in the type of passes he tries/manages compared to some of our other midfielders. I love Sydie and thought he was excellent on Saturday but his passes are generally relatively safe. In the same as Hamer loses the ball a lot compared to Riedewald, because when the attempted ball does come off its a beauty and usually puts in on goal

He’s a yard off absolutely everything. He can come good but he needs 3 months in league 1 or in the U23’s.

I resurrected this thread the other week, not having a pop but just stating the obvious at the time.

We saw a glimpse of what he was before the injury last night, really pleased for the lad. Some beautiful quick turns when the ball went into feet, and some forward thinking passes which is one of his best attributes.

Was a lovely pass out to burrows whose weak foot cut back to peck was lovely.

Not having a pop at Seriki but he needs to to picking a few players out when he gallops into the box. The Burrows to Peck pull back showed just how effective that could be.

First 30-35 minutes Peck & Arblaster were frustrating, sideways & backwards passing with no ability to play a killer ball. I thought from the goal they both grew in confidence quite a lot.

The movement ahead of them was stifled by the fact even Lankshear was 20 yards inside his own half.

They all needed to move the ball a bit faster but Oxford were so unbelievably defensive they made it a difficult watch.

Agree, also the fact we were playing one man up front against 2nd from bottom didn't help, .i.e. making runs etc so have to look sideways

To be fair blaster isn't risking injury anymore than other players ,he's building minutes and confidence ,his acl is repaired.
Watching last night it's all coming back for the lad .
