If he ends up going the way of Louis Reed (he wont btw, he’s miles better than that) it wont be his fault, it will be Wilder’s. He’s being horrendously mismanaged at this moment in time.

Clearly he was miles off the pace tonight. Save the legs and at least its another 45 under his belt in his recovery if you drag him at half time. To leave him out there for the full 90 in a game like tonight is taking the fucking piss

How long does he ride that wave? And fucking fannies and knowsnowts? Who the fuck are you, Lenny Mclean?
He’ll ride it as long as needed and the club will support him with that because they are well aware of his quality. He shouldn’t be getting the minutes he is at this stage, it’s been forced by circumstances. Some people have very short memories, fortunately the ones who actually count don’t.

We wonder why players are struggling with fitness. He bangs on about pre-season but last our fitness after 60 minutes was poor.

Spot on this was always the worry with him. He will end up sadly slumping down the leagues and we can’t afford to keep playing him this season because he’s absolutely miles off it.
If he avoids re-injury I think he can stay at championship level but any hopes of a PL career have probably been ended. Fine margins. It's happened to many before him and it'll happen to many after him. Incredibly exasperating

Sounds good 👍. That good old promise of hidden quality, I can hardly wait.

Some reyt shite being spewed out on here. The effects of that sort of injury and layoff are psychological as well as physical. He’ll get back to his best but he needs time and patience, something the fannies and knownowts in our fanbase aren’t noted for.
No, he needs to find that in a playing environment that allows him to get back to speed. Ridiculous trying to get him match fit in games that are too fast for him. All that will do is shatter his confidence which isn’t going to address the psychological element you refer to. Keep putting him out to get mugged in the way he was tonight could finish him as a player at this level. Thats down to Wilder and his team.

Nobody should be laying into him or writing him off, but it's fair to say he was our worst player by miles tonight.

Needs time, and it's just shit that we're pressured to play him due to injuries again.
He needs building back up, either by U21 or part games. Of the whole squad why is he held on for 90? It's not right for him, or the team.

Proper shithouse responses.

Young lad, massive prospect, making his way back.

Were you all expecting him to be the same player after this amount of minutes?

He needs a pre-season. Anything he contributes this season should be viewed as a bonus only.

It's a message board where users vent, that's pretty much what they're here for so if you want all sweetness and light about Blaster, maybe create a Facebook page for him that only allows nice comments.

if he plays well, and plays a deft pass like that one a couple of weeks back I'm first to shout it from the rooftops but when I see performances like today, he's definitely not immune from criticism.

Exasperating- what a word😂

True, and making him captain at this stage, through sympathy, sentimental and personal relationship is an absolute joke.

This is pretty much what I said in the first post tonight. No I do not expect that and either should Wilder, he should not be in our starting 11.

He’s still only 22, Peck is only 21. There’s a team not far away that would class these as ‘having to play the kids’. It’s going to take him a while to get to match fitness and his sharpness back, he was never athletic but he does look slower, that could be down to seeing and awareness of what’s going on, he needs an experienced player in there with him

Played 8/9 games now and he’s doing nothing
The stand out is how easy he is closed down and loses the ball or a poor pass

The Louis Reed reference is odd, there seems to be some kind of thought on here that he's some kind of failure despite having played 300+ football league games at 28... It's a far better career than most of the players in the academy at the same time as him have had.

He gave the 'recovering' Blaster 90 minutes yet the non stop running O'Hare got dragged off. That was a bit silly.
That was very odd. Thought O'Hare was probably our best player (best of a bad bunch) but was held back as he had to do a lot of defending with Burrows.

Davies for Arblaster after 60 minutes was the obvious and smart choice.

He was captain before he got injured and none of that was due to the above.

Hes going to need time to get up to speed. We probably could have played Matos and we should introduce Arblaster gradually.

So what keeps him in the starting eleven! Oh yes, the arrogance of CW. The whole world knows he needs more game time away from the first team.

Never a captain in this wide world, captains are leaders, experienced, voiciferous, organising, shouting, cajoling his teammates,
