Arblaster

Arblaster would need at least two transfers before England would even consider him. One to someone like Palace/Brentford/Brighton etc. so that he gets on to a big team's radar, then another to a team whose players might realistically be picked for the squad.

VAR would rule it out as Bamford finger nail offside.
Player’s arm can’t be offside under current rules. Defender’s bum possibly playing Bamford onside. Linesman needs to be sure to flag for offside? Though it has to be said, that linesman seemed dodgy (but that is based on view from Kop, which is not good for judging offsides🤣)

Fck England/ Brighton/ palace/ Brentford! Let's for once in our life time stick a long time with us😊

I hope for that too, I was just talking hypothetically if he were to play for England. I don't think he will at any rate.

He’s a yard off absolutely everything. He can come good but he needs 3 months in league 1 or in the U23’s.
It's not even just physically he's off it, his decision making, passing and positioning is all terrible.

Desperately needs to come out the 11, nightmare having Soumare suspended and Jairo injured.

Not a natural athlete, needed all his health and fitness to be effective at this level, lose any amount of that and he's nullified - that's how it appears to me

Nail on the head. Everyone is so desperate for him to be the next Tony Currie, and a home grown one at that, that they're missing the obvious. He's too slow! He isn't that strong and his movement is snails pace, it was before the injury and it appears even worse now. Premier League footballers would leave him in their wake so sorry to anyone who bangs on about him being an England international might want to have a rethink, he'll be lucky to get in the Championship team of the year.

Sydie is streets ahead in pace, physicality and his all round game is just better.

no room for sentiment in this game I'm afraid, today was another example of that.

UTBFTP 👊👊👊

Some reyt shite being spewed out on here. The effects of that sort of injury and layoff are psychological as well as physical. He’ll get back to his best but he needs time and patience, something the fannies and knownowts in our fanbase aren’t noted for.
Nobody should be laying into him or writing him off, but it's fair to say he was our worst player by miles tonight.

Needs time, and it's just shit that we're pressured to play him due to injuries again.

Spot on this was always the worry with him. He will end up sadly slumping down the leagues and we can’t afford to keep playing him this season because he’s absolutely miles off it.

How long does he ride that wave? And fucking fannies and knowsnowts? Who the fuck are you, Lenny Mclean?
