In every match he plays, the commentators still refer to the injury and his time away from the game. I suspect that for those that know, inside /adjacent to the club, his recovery wasn't a formality or guaranteed. The pace at which he's been reintroduced has been notable in it's slowness. I can't think of another player we've coaxed back in so gently. (Tom Davis and Shackleton are basket cases, who are made of wet cake and brie.)

I know the prevailing wisdom is that a Cruciate injury is a bad one, at one time a career ender, maybe Blaster was touch and go if he'd ever make it back (memories of JOC) and needs much more patience than usual. In which case, his apparent recovery is all the more remarkable and deserves even greater praise and celebration.

As well as the goal, the half turn to drive forward that won the free kick was a flashback to pre injury Blaster.

Appears to be getting his sharpness and confidence back.

The fact we looked no worse with him instead of Peck is a huge plus for us. He offers us something different and at times, his passing is fantastic.

Really pleased for the lad.

Wilder: “the specialists noted it would take a long time to regain his form”
