Appreciation post to Slav

Is Wilder responsible for Illiman not having signed a new contract ?

Cheque book Slav was an utter fraud who predictably exposed himself in a matter of months. One of the worst to ever manage us. He left wanting seven new players. With a competent manager we'd be playing in the Premier League now. At the town hall event for Cowens book, Wilder described Ndiaye as the most talented player he'd worked with.

I do know that he kept playing a disinterested John Lundstram and never picked Ndiaye.
The decision by Wilder to continually select an under performing player who would not commit his future to the club is the most baffling and impossible to understand. It seemed to fly in the face of everything that Wilder stood for and epitomised the whole crazy final season when he was manager.

That’s different, 5-0 down and came on around the 85th minute.

Yes, my bad

Is that English? Your bad what?
What is it that you have, that is bad?
Or is bad meaning good? You have something good?

Regards Slav, don't think we can really praise him.
He was given a big contract and we backed him by bringing in all his backroom staff.
He didn't show much enthusiasm for the job (or maybe he doesn't have much personality).
Did anyone ever see Slav smile? I often thought he didn't want to be here.
He and his backroom staff will have left with a big pay-off costing SUFC a small fortune.

This wasn't Slav.

A bigger driving force in the club.offering N'Diaye a deal is our current boss.

Not knocking Slav. He's a good coach our owner or board though sold him the wrong sale.
He wanted more changes in squad to suit his style.
Our board thought he could work with what we had.

You can argue that managers should work with what they have but some managers work.when they can sculpt more to how it works for them.

Hecky has changed a few things but it's using the squad and setup Wilder and knill started because 70% of the squad is geared for it
Slav did want to play him but his hands were tied until the contract was signed no doubt Hecky was a big factor in nurturing illi and some agreement ( contract ) with the player was made during the international break leading to that Peterborough full debut under Slav
