Unbelievable Jeff.Francis Jospeh and Chris Kamara too - plenty of future Blades in that squad.
I’m clearing out cupboards and found this. We played Brentford at home on that day 27/11/82 it’s quality made by Warris of Sheffield and has a decent weight. It’s A4 in size. As it was presented by Mansfield brewery I’m assuming it was something like a Man of the Match award. But does anyone else know more. If it’s of historical value and they want it I’d donate it to the Blades museum, though I doubt it would be of interest to them. Any ideas?View attachment 141355View attachment 141356View attachment 141357

Proper nights out. Meet up in the Peacock - not get served - fight with the kids from Newbold on the Rec - get pissed on 4 pints of Mansfield to AC/DC and Whitesnake - walk home pissed through the woods and scare the living shite out of each other.
Simpler times eh?
If someone has a programme from the game it would tell you who the match sp
I do - I lived at Hunters Bar. Also used to drink in the Lescar (bit of an old man’s pub but not fussy about age - unlike the Sharron).Anyone remember the Polish Ex-Serviceman’s Club on Ecclesall Road (Huners Bar end) as a haven for under age drinking discos in the late 70s and early 80s?!?
