I'm doing my little lad a wall mural. I need a super super high definition picture of the kop, ideally from the 18yard line, dead central.

Basically, his bed will be like goal posts and the wall behind will be the Kop. Would prefer it empty.

I'm asking a lot aren't I !?!?!?

Basically i want something like this. But the image needs to be square on and central, for obvious reasons.

Will SUFC allow me to go in and take some photos?

An HD version of this could work

High-definition is for moving images. What you need is a high-resolution image. Big difference :D

Now that I've finished being a twat, I once contacted the club to ask if I could come in on a non-matchday to take some pics for a college project and they said it'd be fine, so I'd suggest just asking. Club are usually pretty good with stuff like this, especially if you tell them what you're doing.

You'll need a good DSLR to get the best possible image. If you don't own one or don't have any mates who can lend you one, get in touch and I'll see what I can do.

there you go then Matt you can take one of all the other stands as well and do all 4 walls in his bedroom, that would be awesome.

Ditto, My brother in law is a photographer and would love an excuse to shoot inside the lane so if you need someone to take the photos, give me a shout and can put you in touch... :)

Not much of a photographer or anything, but hopefully this helps.

The twitter pic you put up would probably look a bit shite unless you cropped it, you'd most likely end up with the Goal just behind his head board, however, it would also have a row of sponsors which would look like a naff border

You'd need to be careful where the focus was, if when its blown up the grass is in higher focus and the Kop is slightly out of focus, you'll end up with the clearest part being behind the bed

The width x height of the room would need to be similar to the photo, otherwise you will end up narrowing or stretching the photo to fit the shape of the room and may end up with a weird looking wall.

Better to commission Presty to come over and paint a picture of the kop on the wall. Now that would look good

On the subject of pictures , I am after a landscape view of Sheffield from either Norfolk park or Meersbrook showing the city centre with Bramall Lane in ,anyone know where I can get a good one or where is the best vantage point if I have to take my own ?

This is vague as fuck but Mrs Rodders got me a black & white print of the view from Norfolk Park, with Bramall Ln showing in colour. I can't remember who did it though or where it was from. Hope that helps!

If you can get your hands on just a half decent DSLR, you could take an array and stitch it together - should get quite a nice effect especially if the aspect of the wall is pretty wide.

Unless you get a better offer, or of course you have the ability yourself, I'll happily help out with the stitching bud mattbianco1 .

Errr, I'm thinking probably not Rodders!

Photo Tip: If the edges don't line up, not a problem. Find someone with Photoshop and use "Keystoning" . This is a tool designed within Photoshop specifically for that purpose. It is used in architectural photos to straighten up buildings which were distorted in the original image.

I've probably taken a couple that might suit this purpose, will have a dig through the server...

Failing that, theres a couple of cracking points up Norfolk Park or alternatively, you can see the lane from our patio ;)

Try Rare and Racy - they're into all things Sheffield
