Was yours a renewal? I tried ordering one for me dad online but saying can't accept new registrations? I've emailed them expressing intension to buy but imagine it won't get seen for days!

Took time off to phone this morning to sort but can't even get in the queue on that, just cuts out lol.

Finally the old bugger has decided to go down and get it himself but I've warned him of the queue. It'll be at least an hour til he gets there so christ knows how long he'll be standing around for.

I'm already a member, so logged in with my membership number BUT haven't a clue what the password is.

So clicked the link "forgot password" and they send an email to me with a temporary password. Tried that and it accepted asking me to set up a new password, which I did.

Then went on the stadium plan, clicked a seat, the system knew I was a returning season ticket holder so I got a slightly reduced rate and paid using a debit card.

Yup. Unfortunately me dad threw his old ST card away a few yrs back and hasn't a clue of his number. If you're registered, the online system is excellent.

Her see through leg is awesome !!

It's hard to stop yer self isn't it, I'm 63 when will this " torment" ever end ?
Bloke behind me after about two hours told me he'd got an appointment at SpecSavers and that he'd never seen a bus queue quite as long as this one.

I didn't have the heart .....

He could have said "it's a long queue for the toilet"

It never ends mate.
Aristotle the famous philosopher rang a bell with me when he said (on his deathbed) :
"...Thank God that's over !
Having a penis is like being chained to a lunatic for your entire life..."
They knew a thing or two them old philosphers.

They are usually pretty good with replying to emails, even when busy.

Depends if I can be arsed to wait around in a queue for three hours. Some of the stories on here make me think that I'd need to.

I could always take a book I guess.

Sorry I meant a concession not being avaiable on line.,

I keep seeing people say the ticket office will have to revise their strategies etc etc.

However, to be fair this week is pretty unprecedented in recent times and how regularly will it be repeated in the future?

World title boxing match, 3 home games at which we could be promoted or win a title, a beam back of game where we could get promoted, and an away game with a minimum of 7.5k tickets available (demand will exceed supply). All this within the same period. Oh, and season ticket renewals in which the prices have froze.

The only thing the club could potentially do better is absolutely hammer home the online facility and its advantages/capabilities.

Newbie here.
They probably didn't expect promotion to potentially be confirmed so quickly which has obviously created some problems.
Once that was the case they could possibly have said something like renewals at the early bird rate will be available until the end of this week regardless just to ease a bit of the pressure.

Mine's an Original Shareholder ticket and wouldn't let me renew online.

Also, is the Kell Brook fight actually at Bramall Lane? According to this site, it's at...

The undefeated mandatory challenger has agreed to travel to Brook’s backyard in Sheffield on May 27 in a bid to prove his capabilities as a champion and is confident he can secure a lifelong dream at Sheffield United’s Brammall Lane ground.

Another hundred years and they might get the spelling right. Seriously, the fight isn't until May 27th. Plenty of time to get an alternative ticketing service in?

After tonight, it might not be confirmed so quickly...:(

Yeah - hopefully they'll have a better plan for next years promotion.

I think it's because they can't see your student card so people might fiddle it. If that's the case though then it seems daft that they do it by phone.

Aah right. Thanks.

For info: Just been down to collect my Coventry ticket. Collections for pre-ordered tickets has barely no queue at all, and the booth is near the Hall of Fame. The other main queue was right around by the memorial garden.

I've been trying to ring the ticket office today and yesterday and just get an engaged tone. They've always had hold music previously! What's the crack?

I'm a bit annoyed because if I buy a ticket for Coventry on the day then it'll cost more, and it won't let me buy a concession ticket online for some daft reason.

The queue only has a limited number of spaces so if it's already full when you call in you'll hear an engaged tone

If they are queuing for tickets for tonight they have the choice of the kop or the kop.

Strangely enough I've randomly been able to buy a concession ticket on the Kop now. Whatever.

It said that to me. However when you get that message, look at the basket in the top right hand corner and it should say that there is one item in it. Click on there and it should show a season ticket renewal - from there it will let you "checkout".

There's little excuse to not buy online where possible.

What I find surprising are the numbers posting on an online forum that they opted not to buy online. I'm assuming for the forum they fax their comments to the mods to manually type in, and WHF's continued absence is because his time is taken up reading this group a summary of every thread in bullet-list format.

Take pity on us oldies with dodgy fingers. A few typos on a post here, no problem; a few extra 000s on a purchase, and bankruptcy looms! For the Chesterfield match, I have just moved seats from Kop to BLUT upper tier, and bought extras for family coming from outside Sheffield; no way could I have done that online. And they didn't even keep us supplied with Werthers in the queue.:(
