I'm quick off the mark here! If we don't get Henderson, I wouldn't mind Sam Johnstone. I know he is on loan but Gayle a possibility. The rest probably no.

Sam Johnstone on a perm if we can't get Henderson on a perm. Cost West Brom £5m last year and they will want to cut some cloth

Not their player but, Holgate.

Agreed, I think Holgate very much fits the mould of what we need. He's young at 22, he's already played 38 games in the PL for Everton and he plays right-sided centre back or right wing back and we'll need for competition in that area, especially after Cranie has been released.

Dwight Gayle would probably be the only other I think that would improve us that we could go for, but of course, he's not their player.

Phillips might be a good shout but I'd rather Freeman or Lolly personally.

The only players I would consider are Rakeem Harper (out of contract), Johnstone, Holgate and Gayle (for the right price). Fulham's Stefan Johansen was also excellent in the first leg that West Brom threw away (I didn't see the match last night). The rest are too old or not worth the money. Listen to Wilder and Bettis's interview. We need to be buying assets, so if the worse case scenario happens we can sell them on and make big bucks whilst remaining competitive. Tht would rule out Gibbs, Phillips, Dawson etc. Certainly paying sizeable fees for them.

I would 100% go all out to bring Gayle in, as he has something that we are missing up top, PACE. If we aren’t going to be able to dominate possession like we did this year, our ability to hit teams on the break will be important

I would also try to bring in either Holgate or Adarabioyo (both on loan at WBA) both would slot in perfectly at RCB, both good athletes who are also comfortable on the ball.

Commentator mentioned last night was the first time since boxing day Phillips has started consecutive games - sounds like he has serious fitness issues.

Gayle is an ego and play actor, definitely not what Wilder looks for.

To be honest I'd be tempted by Dawson, I could have sworn he was about 36 he seems to have been around forever! Having had a look he's still only 28, in his prime as a defender and a year left on his contract. He's got good Prem experience and I think would slot in at RCB nicely as he has played RB a few times for the Baggies.

All those West Brom centre backs are good solid players. Hegazi's been their best.

But balance what they'd cost and where they'd fit in, and I'm not sure any are that viable, apart from possibly Bartley.

I wouldn’t take any. The best player I believe is Livermore but I believe he would cost a lot of money.

No one really stood out as come and get me I’m Premiership class.
