Any idea who the Blades player/s is/are?

Any ideas about the opposition? Was thinking maybe Spurs?

I'd have a stab at Tony Macedo in goal, Jimmy Conway next to Robson, Stan Brown centre. Bet I am totally wrong lol

Bobby Robson left Fulham in 1967, so it could be him (certainly looks like him), but BR was under 5' 10" so the bloke in the pic. looks taller? The Birch left in November 1967 (we used to sell our best players back then...) to go to Chelsea for £100,000, just a couple on months after United sold his formidable striking partner Mick Jones to Leeds for £100,000 (We used to sell etc....)

The likeliest game this pic was taken was Jan. 7th, 1967 United 4 v 0 Fulham, scorers Jones (2), Birchenall (2). (We used to....).

Yes it is Alan Birchenall but this is the kit (V necked shirts) we wore for 1965-66 season. Our collars were round for 1966-67 season and our socks were all white and the two red hoops at the top of the socks were no longer in use. The match was either the 2-0 league win on a Wednesday night 15th Sept 1965 or the 3-1 FA Cup win on 22nd Jan 1966. The state of the pitch would suggest the latter
