Its a very good signing! Seen him in the Europa League for Fulham.....good player.

My questions is.....is he eligible to play tonight????

Riise, Williamson, Doyle, Yeates

Not a bad midfield that my fellow Blades :)

If that cant provide service nothing will!

Well done Micky - Fulham connections?
Looks a good addition to the set up and puts some much needed strength, experience and class into the midfield.

He is not tall for an Adams signing at 5'9" but he won't be as easily pushed off the ball as Ward.

He's a player I've thought was right for us, and we are right for him as well, as he's desperate for first team football and I think he'll fit in quickly. He's not a ultra-classy flair player, but a super fit, hard working tenacious wide midfielder, who when in form can give full backs a really hard time. He'll be working up and down the right hand side and will aim to get involved and make himself available for a pass in every attack. He's more of a Dane Whitehouse than a Glyn Hodges.

Not sure about his match fitness, he's not been playing much for Fulham, and I think he should have sought first team football sooner. He's kept his place in the Norwegian squads, but was recently warned that he had to find a new club if he didn't get into Fulham's first team.

He's played quite a bit centrally as well, but most often in a central midfield trio, where he'll be working hard up and down the pitch. A weakness is that he has a poor goal ratio, and he's not a big lad.

Think thats harsh on Squinn, best player sat, not seen Riise but if fit, maybe him on right and drop Yeates who has been terrible last few weeks.

thanks for the heads up Bergen, sounds like a fighter and a guy with an "engine"
bring it on!!!

I agree, I think that's a good midfield at this level, but it's one that won't chip in with loads of goals, so we are still dependant on our strikers being able to finish.

Bjorn Helge Riise

Bjorn Helge Riise hasnt had must of a chance at fulham but good luck to him.

Thanks for the insight Bergen. I always rate your posts, cheers.

Anyone Know if he's eligible!?!?

Another one for Batho. What about some communication what are they bastards not telling us ;) Hes' got until 07:40 tonight to sort this out otherwise we'll be able to make our own minds up.

Get thi boots on owd cock that needed :)

Looks like a decent signing this one. We are in desperate need of width and pace. Looking forward to seeing him.

I'd like to see:

Riise Willo Doyle Quinn*

* or Yeates

that is a half decent midfield (potentially). We would have pace with Riise, creativity coming from Riise and Willo, Quinn gets forward well and Doyle can do the donkey work.

We are staying up!!!!? :D

I think we'd kill for either at the moment, to be fair!

Doyle can do the Donkey work aye, but he also isn't affraid to have a pop as we saw saturday.

Riise looked ok but I wondered what he must have thought coming in five minutes before the game and then watching that from the bench.
Looks tidy, looks like he might have a football brain but we still need some pace and dynamism up front.
Harewood would be worth a punt.
