I don't think its a suspension its an abandonment we need. IMO should not have started this season at all. skip the season and go again next year when the fans will hopefully back in stadia and the worst has past by.

The way things are going I can see sports being suspended again, especially if more and more players/staff test positive. And only a few games in it surely would be cancelled.

problem is what happens to the payroll? if we effectively shut up shop for 12 months, lock the gates and moth ball, who pays the wages, that pays the bill of the employees? all the players wont sit tight for 12 months and not take their wage, and the day to day staff cant afford to, their wages put food on the table.
so we have to trade, and that means playing games, so the Sky money comes in, which pays the wages

had we won 3 out of 3, which prior to the start of the season was achievable, given Wolves late Euro campaign finish, Villa almost relegated and Leeds just up, would we have been asking for this? NO

Never understood the rush to start the new campaign in the first place. Just so there was a chance at having the Euros next summer?
