Apart from his beautiful assist against SwanseaLook, we’re not firing on all cylinders at the moment, but we are still winning. You can’t criticise Hecky for anything at the moment. But I do think the Brewster experiment is sadly coming to an end. I would say we are most effective with one up top (McBurnie) with one in behind (N’Diaye or Khadra). We desperately need that extra midfielder in the engine room (Doyle, McAtee or Fleck). I really don’t like dissing a player in the red and white, but Brewsters lack of awareness in the box and composure in front of goal are looking like they won’t improve…A real shame.
Granted, but sadly it’s a very rare occurrence. We all desperately want the lad to succeed, but when you analyse his positional sense, and the lack goal scoring prowess, you have to wonder if it going to work for him here. It’s probably unfortunate for the lad that we are a better team with that extra midfielder in the team with a lone striker.Apart from his beautiful assist against Swansea
He's a young lad coming back from a second injury setback. People had written off Oli McB up until 5 games ago.Look, we’re not firing on all cylinders at the moment, but we are still winning. That was my thought as wellEver thought Sharp has come on just to give him some minutes after a long lay off ?

we are without doubt the most critical fans in football
top the league 8 points clear of 7th
scoring goals clean sheets best gd in the league
but still nagging doubt and criticism abounds
we can rightly claim to be top of the biggest doubters in the EFL table
I'm not being critical but ,,,,,, SHOULD BE THE CLUB MOTTO
Enjoy winning for fucks sake, that should be the cry
are we perfect , no ,but enjoy the wins
as long as in all our away games he picks the wrong team for we win 2-0 who cares
Yeah for fucks sake don't experiment with an attacking line up away from home again hecky
Even though that's pretty much what everyone's been screaming for all season and we won and we are top of the league
They played a bit better than us first half so let's categorise that as a failure and consign it to the bin and move on to the next game
Sorry, but aren't we utilising the squad and still winning games?
We all know its a long season, we all know rotating players keeps them match fit, and fresher..
I didn't hear any criticism yesterday, Berge was a little flat at times and produced a few groans, not much more than that..
If you watch the first 65 seconds of this interview you'll see a manager who's delighted with the result and overall performance, but still makes it clear he wasn't happy with the first 40 minutes. It's not unreasonable to discuss exactly the same as fans and football people on a football forum.
I think it's a valid point that we should experiment from time to time. You can learn a lot from that. Like starting McAtee at Luton. It didn't work, and he's not started since. Gradually he'll get more playing time until we feel he's more ready to be given another start. I think Hecky will also be very focused on picking just the right game for him. It may be the same with picking a two man midfield with little chance to tweak it with the selected first eleven. We may well try it again, but maybe not against any team and there may be certain things that we'd like to adjust.

I agree with a lot of that, but I didn't say we were battered or lucky. First half I thought we struggled for long periods and I didn't think the system worked. We showed great character and yes I agree that we can't always play fluent football, sometimes results need to be ground out. But good teams learn lessons even when they have won a game, Pep can be scathing of Man City even when they have won easily!I'm not saying we played well but I take umbridge at the view that we were lucky or got battered because neither if those things are true
We didn't play our usual fluid attacking football and we looked a bit sluggish but we still defended solidly and kept them to half chances
These are things that should be
Celebrated as much as looking good as these are things that get you promoted
We've had 9 points from 3 tricky away games and people are genuinely disappointed because we didn't dominate from start to finish
We would have lost all 3 last season where we buckled under the slightest pressure ,if people can't see that improvement than god help us when we lose
think all managers can misread a teams intentionsI agree with a lot of that, but I didn't say we were battered or lucky. Fair do's but personally I wouldn't have changed it eitherI agree with a lot of that, but I didn't say we were battered or lucky. Yes, I think Preston surprised us by going for it, it was different to how they've approached some of their other games.think all managers can misread a teams intentions
looking at the stats we probably didnt expect them trying to get forward as much as they did
but Heckingbottom selected a side that coped admirably at the back and laid the foundation for us showing that bit of quality we have over other teams
We pressed them in their box and Nd won the ball and finished with aplomb
the second came from great closing again and tied up the win with plenty left in the tank
Hecky acknowledges theres a way to go and further lessons to be learned but we are still accumulating points as we improve
Woke up this morning,We win. Away from home for the second time 4 days. Keep a clean sheet for the second time in 4 days. Score 2 in one game against a team who had conceded 2 in their 9 previous games this season etc etc etc.
It's almost like some people don't actually give a flying fuck about the team or the club and just need a place to share their misery and try to make the rest of us feel as shit about life as they do.
Gonna give you the benefit of the doubt here and assume you're being controversial in order to draw some fire........Look, we’re not firing on all cylinders at the moment, but we are still winning. other knocks. caused the other swops
Ends justify the means and for us to take 3 points at Ashton gate is a rare thing so. which ever way you look at it, it worked for us
