With the state of our midfield, we really needed this signing to work out better than it has done so far. Slimane is obviously making a big step up in terms of standard of the league, but he's 22 now. He's not a teenager. He has been here for 4 months and you would hope the management deem him ready for at least a few starts by now. If not, you have to question why we signed someone who they don't think is ready for a Premier League start after 4 months at the club.

We need a viable replacement for Norwood in the squad, and we have to hope Slimane can become that man.

On what I've seen which I admit is not a lot. It's probably me also whats not got a lot of confidence in the recruitment team anyway.

All the time players not involved suddenly for very little reason or evidence fans start clamoring for them to play. It's quite interesting to see people get caught up in it all. It's the same when a random name is linked in a transfer and people will have opinions having never watched them for a second!

Took the England u21 manager having more faith in Brooks for Wilder to re-evaluate his opinion.

Posted in the match thread but it is extremely confusing (to the casual, to us it's clear Hecky playing his favourites) how he didn't come on instead of Fleck

Again, if Slimane still isn't deemed good enough even to come on for a few minutes then it is yet another failure of recruitment. He can't get in the team ahead of Fleck.
