I was very critical of him in the summer and wanted him gone based on the performances of last season and the noises that his dad was making, but he’s making me eat my words and I’m so glad he is.

Must have been a horrendous week and to put in a performance like that tonight, similar to one of 2 years ago, is a credit to him and long may it continue. Well done to the Blades tonight who made it obvious that he’s wanted at United, I was watching the bit at the end with him infront of our fans with a massive smile on my face

I've been a massive critic, and deservedly so on what we saw at face value, but Anel and Souza both seem to be trying to make amends for last season. The proving point tonight was Anel hammering McCallum. That's the fire that was missing last season. Fair play to them both so far.

Wonderful scenes and a great credit to both the player himself on an excellent performance and the proper Blades fans who both celebrated this and at the same time , demonstrated their support for him in the difficult circumstances he has recently had to deal with .

As in most sports , confidence is a major factor in the level of performance of a player and last season his was torn to shreds .

Much of this was created by the role he was asked to play as wide right in a back three where , when Bogle went awol for the umpteenth time he was faced with the task of going one on one against the likes of Eze , Grealish and Gordon which is clearly not one of his strengths and led to a number of costly mistakes .

Now playing in a central role in a well organised back four , he is already showing once again the aspects of his game which led us to believe in his early days that we had unearthed an outstanding defender and it was great to see both his performance and the absolute joy on his face tonight .

Cooper as well.
Although he didn't have a lot to do, he did a couple of decent saves but more to the point he knew when to come and catch or punch away, he's comfortable on the ball as well.
I feel extremely comfortable now with him in goal something I haven't done for years with a United permanent keeper.

That was emotional at the end of the game. I have so much love for the blades family. We have a player who needed an arm around his shoulder and we did exactly that.

A great result. Tactics spot on. The desire from the lads was superb.
