Bloody hell lad. Feeling very sorry for Anel after reading that.

I've said a fair few times that I'd like him sold this transfer window because of such a poor season in the Prem... But sounds like he's got a lot going on (more than just a newborn) so I'm 100% going to forgive at forget.

Hope he has a great season and IF he gets promoted with us again, I hope he can step and up and do himself, wife and Mother proud on the biggest stage.

As someone who had a domineering father , Anel has my sympathy.
But 2 positive points emerge from this revealing statement to the media.
His loss of form/attitude last season might be explained by the problems he's mentioned.
And he seems happy at the Lane for now , at least happy enough to resist his Dad's desire to shift him out for financial gain.
Given what happened to John Egan , I'm pleased to learn that he's reacted promptly to his hamstring issue and come home to give it the best chance of recovery.

Sounds like he's had a torrid time of it, no matter what people say about the amount players get paid and it warranting the abuse they get being in the spotlight, it must be tough to ignore for some, especially where it concerns family. He sounds like he just wants to get on and be the best footballer he can be, I can't fault him for that and his performances this year certainly seem to suggest that he's focussing on the right things.
