If he’s not the best value for money signing in English football in recent times , please tell me who is .

He reminds me a lot of John Stones at his peak some six years ago when City paid 47.5 million plus add ons for him , apart from the fact that he was not as good then as our lad is now .

£3 million ? - :D:D:D

Fantastic piece of recruitment .
I think he’s gonna be behind the big Leicester 3 Vardy, Kante and Mahrez but he looks some player.

Got to hope we get promoted. Only way I can see us keeping him because he would be starting week in, week out in the prem with us. Either way, a very tidy sum will be heading our way if not.

We've had our fair share TBH.

Fleck & Duffy were both frees and achieved 2x promotions. Fleck then spent 2x seasons in the PL
O'Connell was about £400K and on the cusp of an England call up until his injury. Had he not got injured, we'd have brought in £25m+ for him

Price tag as of this morning.......£15m...........price tag end of season when he scores.his tenth goal and 30th clean sheet......£115m

You can just imagine several PL clubs now taking notice and sending scouts to watch him.

My fear is that we receive a £30 million bid this January.
A chance to make 25 million profit in 6 months, would we sell?

I’m pretty sure the answer would be no if we’re in with a chance of promotion, which is more than likely .

Satday will be a good test for him against arguably one of the best players in the league in Brereton Diaz.

Fair points but by ‘recent times’ I was thinking more of the last two years or so when prices for defenders seem to have sky rocketed . ( e.g. Ben White - £52 million , over 17 times the cost of AA 🤣 🤣🤣 )

He's like bash but on steroids and 10 years younger

Agree. The attacking centre back role seems to suit him down to the ground.

Who would have thought it possible. Our centre back is one of our main attacking threats.

In a game where everything is analysed to the finest detail it's a line-breaker from deep who can cause the most problems. Who picks Ahmedhodzic up when he marauds forward? Who else becomes spare as a result? How do we exploit that moment of uncertainty exactly as we did last night for the second? It's genuinely gamechanging for us.

I want us to go up this year. Not for the Premier league but so we can keep Anel.

Because if we don't someone will be in for him next summer without a shadow of a doubt.

He's a top 6 player easily already.
Based on performance so far the January window is likely.

He'll score 10

And a few with his feet

Size is one thing, being calm enough to direct headers properly is what will do it for him

Very nice change from Egan being the target of set pieces

And the deliveries themselves have also got better
