we could do with nailing him down for the rest of the season,he could get us get us out of a relegation scrap.because the harshness of it is becoming reality now.

indeed gav.. i was just thinking.. well if we get reid then we only need.. eerrrmm.. ten other players.. who would i keep?.. britton?.. (great passer but plays so deep it is ineffective IMO).. creswell was brilliant last year.. this year we got his crap twin brother.. morgan has been the rock of the club for years but suddenly seems to have lost it.. simonsen is ok but seems a downgrade from paddy.. anyone else?

It'd be a bit daft to infer from that that the management rate Quinn and Ertl higher. Unless or until he can last an hour he'll start on the bench.

Does anyone know that he can't last 90 mins?. Why not, just for once, dictate the game and then take him off when knackered. Plan as hard as Speed wants, you cannot polish a turd. Our midfielders aren't good enough. A half fit Reid without plannning is better than the rubbish we witnessed yesterday.

Indeed. Don't get me wrong, not throwing players straight in is an often used tactic. But we're clearly so short in the middle, we have a top class player for only a month. It's a no brainer for me.

Though it seems a long way off, throw in a few players with spark (like Reid) and a lot of our players will look a lot better. We don't have a team of crap players, but we have a team bereft of anything special. We desperately need a striker. Offloading Evans Ialbeit at a huge loss) would be a great step forward (I had to get that one in.... )
