MoM for me!

Strange decision to put him in but it worked.

Not just the energy, but the athleticism he brought to the team stopped us being walked through. A very promising start. lots of positives from the team as a whole

Excellent performance from him.

Looks the type of player who could do a few roles in the midfield depending on who is alongside him. No reason at all why he shouldn't start the next game either. Given that the other options are way past their best, it's his chance to shine.

He and a few other of the young lads should be automatic starters if (he says optimistically/misguidedly) we're in the Championship next season.

Showed little bits of promise. Nothing to get carried away with but something to build on.

Think he showed lots of promise considering it was a debut.

Impressed that he didn't look in the slightest bit nervous or overawed playing against top class opposition.
He made the odd mistake losing the ball but he was never afraid to keep trying things and he went on several little dribbles with the ball.
Also was massively mobile compared to Norwood and Fleck.......all positive stuff for next season.

Baffled as to why he hasn't been given more appearances early in the season considering our midfield has been so poor at carrying the ball
The man to ask has gone! I've been thinking the same as you.Hecki gave debuts to quite a few but didn't really give them much game time.

To put his age in context he's only a few months younger than McAtee and the difference is stark imo

Remember McAtee's first few games? That's the stage Brooks is at now and it's a league higher against one of the best teams in the World.

That's not to say he's better, or worse. But let's just not jump straight in to making conclusions, either way and enjoy the fact he put in a good shift in difficult circumstances.

Class again today. I look forward to him going to Leeds at the end of the season in return for a pre-season friendly sometime in the 2050s.
