Like the nutmeg leading to a chance fluffed by BBD? Harsh on BBD but you get what I mean
Yes. Just before that he delivered a really poor cross or pass from a good position which completely annoyed me then did that to make up for it!

I was

Goals and assists ( or even just decent chances fluffed by someone else) will keep him in.

He's got potential but I can't see him playing for any other premier league side right now.
I dunno, I would say he’s the most saleable asset in our team right now. The Prince must be rubbing his hand with glee.

Rumours of Man Utd looking at him, tell them £30m before we even think about it!

How did Hecky not rate him enough to start.
It’s not just Hecky, look at how many threads or podcasts decide that X player needs to go out on loan to get experience, rather than being blooded in the first team. Seems to be de rigeur, young kids just have to go on loan to “experience men’s football”. No idea where young players already at the clubs where we send our young players on loan get their experience, though.

Only the good ones end up staying with the first team in the end. Some players develop at different levels some may need it some don’t.

But I don’t get why you’d keep him and not play him.

He’s done well this preseason. Very raw player, but I think he’s done enough to get some minutes at the start of the season.
Agree, he seems to be improving and enjoying his position in the new formation.

If he can improve going on the outside more naturally, rather than always looking to cut inside he could become even more dangerous.

Yep, completely agree. Also seems to always want to take his man on and dribble past, even when there’s a better pass available. He has gotten better at that, if preseason is anything to go by.

It seems like he should’ve come out of the academy about 20 years ago. Nowadays, you get players like Saka that come out of the academy a polished professional. Brooks is streaky and raw as a player, but very talented. He’s also got a good relationship with Arblaster, so that’s always a good thing.

Teach the lad how finish and not snatch at shots, and he’ll cause some right damage

Has the ability to play at a good level.

Just needs to not overthink things... Occasionally takes a couple touches too many when a simple cross or pass is on.

But hopefully that will come with experience in time.

Brook is a really gifted player (one of a group we have coming through) just needs time and experience to be an exciting player.Seen him do some amazing things with the ball .

He was one of the rew in our squad, who I was confident would never make the 'Misspelling XI'.

How wrong I was....

Really like him and he got a really raw deal last season. Came in under Wilder and did well, dropped off a bit (as did all the players) and seemed to get singled out more than others, with far more experience.

I think his biggest focus should be on his confidence. He has the ability but I get the sense he just needs that added belief. He does seem quite shy naturally, so it may come from this. Hopefully the club can work on him on this.

That said, playing lots of minutes last season, in that side, will have been a huge learning curve for him and logic would suggest he’ll find it far easier in a better performing team, in the league below (see also, Osula).

We are really fortunate to be having a purple patch of good talent coming through from the academy .We have always had a good academy which has produced some outstanding youngsters but just now we seem to be overflowing with some really exciting prospects . Really hope we can hang on to them for a change to benefit the first team and save us some cash in transfer fees .

Certainly didn’t look like he wants to give up his first team place to JRS, just yet.

I thought he was great when he came on. Had the defender on rollerskates and went past him time and again. Nice little back heel for Pecks chance too.

Even off the bench he could be a real weapon for us this season.

We all see the game differently, I thought he was wasteful
