I'd seriously look at Keith Hill and Paul Tisdale as my two frontrunners if I was McCabe.

Was Speed cheap? I bet his 'player coach' contract made him a VERY expensive rookie coach when he knew he was on his last legs as a player. That in turn meant he'll have got a very lucrative rookie manager contract.

Our wage bill wouldn't suggest we've been cheap over the last couple of years. we've just spent it badly.
 
You would have to be either desperate or foolish to come to a club when it's in this sort of tangle.

I've said all along, back when people wanted Warnock out in 2004, that I'm not a fan of sacking managers because once you get into that cycle, it never stops. And so who has been proven right? :(

Unlike some, I take no pleasure in it.

How about a rookie appointment... say a Scholes or a Giggs...we've sunk low enough to be someones idea of a starter club for management experience.
 
Maybe it's timed to coincide with the new series of The Apprentice.

Must admit, I did like Skweeze me Pleeze me but I always thought it started the change in style that finished them as a class act for me. Gudbuy t Jane, Cum on feel the Noize and Coz I luv You.....now they were the classics.
 
Got a great album called 'Whatever happened to Slade' ,none of the chart stuff and a bit heavier ,highly recommended.
In fact Noddy Holder for next manager ,imagine him shouting from the dugout.
