My concern is that McCabe has taken control of the appointment process. Now, going on his modus operadi, there are two factors he uses to choose a manager:

a) is he a Blade or a from Blade background (Warnock / Adams / Blackwell)
b) is he high profile (Robson / Speed)

I worry with that in mind that he won't (forgive the cliche), think a little bit outside of the box.

It would certainly be surprise if the appointment wasn't one of...

Another excellent candidate would be Billy Reid of Hamilton. I know they've gone down but what he's achieved at Hamilton over the years has been nothing short of miraculous - great at blooding/developing youngsters.
