Happy to take the point would have snatched your hand off before and it was an open game too so you just never know.

But on reflection we were the better team offensively and can count ourselves pretty unlucky not to have won that.
At times Brooks/Seriki combo was just too much for them.

Really good performance to be honest. Aside from switching off defensively for their goal.

T'was a typical ballsy performance from both teams. End to end stuff, could have gone either way.

Coops kept us in it, the two centre backs are still very fragile. McCallum and Seriki did well pushing on, Brooksy very much the outlet as Gus was again not mcuh of an effect. O'Hare the link-pin and I think we had someone playing up top. Maybe I'm mistaken. Think we had eleven players on?

Just a word about the telly people. Why are they so keen on cut-aways and close ups? There should be an unwritten broadcast law that when the ball is 'live' we get 'the game'. Any lingering looks at the managers whistling to attrct someone's attention, people on the bench clearly swearing, random supporters picking their sneds, angry-looking seagulls pecking worms out of the turf, random players just standing and carrying out the old 'pinch/twist' manoeuvre should be confined to 'dead' situations.

Thought Gus was pretty good today to be honest. And Cannon can count himself unlucky not to score with the overhead kick and shot before O'Hare missed.
Thought Cannon put a good shift in without having alot of actual possession of the ball.

Completely agree about the TV coverage.

A good point. Our build-up play did leave a lot to be desired and it was obvious how much we missed Bamford. I got tired of seeing McGuinness pass to an under pressure Seriki only for us to then surrender possession. Brooks is some player. Cannon and O’Hare (and Hamer) ran all day. And Blaster looked better I thought.

I've lost count of the times when they've been showing a replay of a contested throw-in, or something equally as trivial, whilst the commentator is getting giddy because one team is steaming down on goal on the break.

Good point on the road. I unfortunately had to endure it from the home end (they are a very angry bunch) Brooks and Seriki looked good. Thought we were on balance the better side. Embarrassing how they were all openly masturbating over Bannan.
