I was at a loose end on Saturday, so I took my 3yr old to watch The Millers, to see how the other half live.
I've got to say i did enjoy the, almost, working mens' club atmosphere... some of the stewards knew the fans by name, as did the players!
I've followed the Blades for the best part of thirty years, and I don't think I have ever been in an emptier stadium. A shame really, because although the layout doesn't lend itself to football, the facilities are excellent, you can even nip out the back for a smoke, and any near-by steward will watch your seat for you!
For any Wendy fans looking in on our board, here's a glimpse of the travelling 'hoards' you will experience in the next few seasons, as you enjoy lower league football. This is a picture of the away end, at the DVS, JUST BEFORE KICK-OFF on Saturday... get used to it piggies...
