Incoming? Amad Diallo

I could see the Diallo transfer happening for 2 reasons:
1. We developed Deano and subsequently have an excellent relationship with Old Trafford
2. We will offer a recall and guaranteed playing time clause to snatch the deal.

Originator, mixed reliability but to be fair he gets a few bits right.

Given what we agreed for Davies, I just can’t see that being the case. We knew we were in the loan market this summer, and we knew we were wanting the top end targets. It just doesn’t stack up unless Man Utd are just being daft.

He said Baldock was going to Celtic all summer.

Bit like cadette though, some probably look like they're happening before falling through or not seriously developing. Doesn't mean they're clueless.

I love how there is 12 days left and we now open talks to sign him on loan........ wtf have we been doing. Seriously. Anyways, if we get him it will be one collective jizz from Blade fans across the world. UTB!

If you're believing the posts, then it also says we've been interested since January. It won't be for the lack of trying to get it done, they'll be things he and Man Utd want to play out first.

More of my frustrations of leaving our business till the end of the window....and then panicking and bringing the likes of Robinson-esque players.

Interesting how WBA get the Barnsley lad on a free and Clarke on loan prior to the season starting and as usual we are frantically scrapping around with only half the window left. This all despite it being obvious what we need for months

Clearly there's budgetary constraints but we always seem to be late to the party.

I didn't think there was anything in this, thought it would be a pipe dream, but if we can sign him then he's got to surely be the type to make a huge difference. One player can do that if of the right type and of a much higher quality than the league's he in. Surely this would make a big difference and give everyone a lift.

Maybe like how Adel Taarbt did for QPR?!

Clarke went to WBA because they were one of the biggest teams in the Championship to go in for him, along with us incidentally. The story at the time was that our first choice was Davies and Brighton thought his game time would potentially be hampered by Egan being a clear no 1 choice and then Bash as a backup. All sounds feasible.
The Barnsley lad again would have jumped at the chance to join his old manager at a club looking at auto's. If we wanted that lad from Crewe then we would have gotten him because we were the best option. If we're after players who are likely to have lots of options, including maybe being in the PL squads, then we have to wait.

Then you need to be targeting poorer players who will jump at the chance to play for us as soon as we're interested 🤷‍♂️

A lot of good players have moved early in the window, so i don't agree with your comment. We are void of any midfielders and wide players - players which are critical to the success of the team. We should have identified the players early, and acted on bringing them in. What is more important, haggling over 500k-1m or losing 8 points to start the season?

Can’t wait to sign diallo then play him out of position all season if he ever gets on the pitch

Fine. Name those that would have come for what we could offer?
