I’d be very surprised if he went back to Atalanta. They are up there with Dortmund as one of the best run clubs in Europe..

They don’t sign loan players unless there is an option to buy and they’re in control of that option.

a couple of season ago they had Zapata on a 2 year loan with an option to buy at a pre agreed £8m.

he averaged 2 in 3 and they took the option. Their deals are all very Italian good n there nature but they pretty much always come out on top and I can’t remember the last time they did one of these player development loans which didn’t include an option to buy.

I think the Atalanta link is nothing more than lazy journalism linking him to a former club. They also drew each other in the CL

Best thing about this thread is the stunning young lady joining the ladies side.

Though “exciting” could just be the prospect of playing every week and being instrumental in a team playing to suit him….so it’s how you interpret that.

However, I’m also a realist…and even as a blades fan, if I was at Man U, and had the chance of going to Dortmund, a premier league side or an Italian side I’m afraid I would choose that over Sheff Utd in its current predicament. I just see there being a whole load of issues that only a great salesman could overcome and persuade this lad to come here, and that salesman is no longer at the club! The clubs current actions are speaking louder than any words sadly.

Anyone who comes to us has got to be marred by the general negativity surrounding the club at the moment. And I don't mean the fans; I'm talking about the players, the manager, the board. If no one on the club side gives much of a toss, how do we expect a loan player to come in and do so?

Even if you look at just throw ins, as soon as ball went out for a Luton throw they were getting ball back into play within seconds.
