Legend.

We got one final sight of the great man. The delight on his face and that of the fans is probably the highlight of last season.

It goes without saying, we were the privileged ones who got to view such a talent in action.

Wonderfully gifted and by all accounts a lovely man.

We're going to miss you.

If he played for a more " fashionable" club, not only would he have played for England, he would have been worth as much as any of the so called star wide men of today. Him and TC would light up the lane every home match. ( that's how it seemed all those years ago anyway). Legend, total legend as far as I'm concerned. RIP. WOODY.

Gutted to heat the news of the brilliant Woody passing.
In a world where superlatives are chucked around lightly, he really was a fantastic player.
So privileged to have seen him so many times, chanted his name, wrote it on my school satchel.
Always remember the corner routine Woody onto Currie boot lurking at the edge of the box to volley.
He could cross onto a sixpence, he was that good.
He had the one hardest shots in the game
We have lost a MASSIVE LEGEND.

My thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
RIP the King of the Wing.

Desperately sad news, one of my greatest regrets is that I am about a decade too young to have seen Woodward and Currie for United.

RIP Alan Woodward.

(The "Alan Woodward Stand" in place before the first game of next season please United.)
