Sounds to me like he is on his way as he slagged off the fans on several occasions.

When asked about substitution of Hammond he blocked it by saying he doesn't have to justify his subs to the reporter.

Said we'd been on fire in training but it was hot today and we didn't carry the intensity into the game. Maybe they trained too hard (well that puts your computer based stats packages on player energy and performance into cock, then)

Been here before and knows crowd can be on players backs - it's always been the same and will in all probability continue to be so.

Shifted out 25 players and bemoans fact that he has brought in fewest number of players in the league. Two perm and 4 on loan.

Crowd was moaning from first game of season (who fucking wouldn't being stuffed 4-0 at Gillingham) and its continued on for the rest of the season.

Sitting down with all players one on one next week to determine their futures.

Well let's hope they all fuck off and Adkins with them.

The reason he thinks we're always on the players back is because when he's been here before and it was probably when he managed Scunthorpe and we probably were losing, we don't take kindly losing to tiny clubs who have a fifth of our crowds and a tenth of our budget.

Hearing that and the rest has made my mind up for me, time to go you totally inadequate, out of your depth apology of a manager!

He has a right to be pissed off with the fans today. A few years ago we got hammered 4-0 at home by Scunny and all and sundry were tripping over themselves to say how encouraging the performance was. Adkins must be thinking 'I did twice as well as that today and all we get is grief!'.

I'm an Adkins fan but that interview was definitely not his best and clearly a case of putting the mike to early to a manager under pressure straight after the game. Of course that's not the fault of Radio Sheffield but on other occasions Adkins has been very complimentary to our fans and he's talked about how rocking it can be here. Clough criticised the fans at times too, people forget that. As others have said Adkins is probably on his way, which I think will be a mistake but there you go.

You forgot the bit about it being a hot day so they couldn't play how he wanted them to. Absolute corker that.

He's not helped his cause by criticising the support. He could have turned his fire on the Board where the real blame lies but that won't help him stay in a job either.

He's probably going to be sacked.

He mentioned twice about moving 25 players on this season, I presume he is talking about loan players because I cannot believe we have moved anywhere near that, unless he is talking about players moving on next week? To me moving players on is permanently not out on loan.

Yeah, I don't mind his babble and see no point in sacking him for the sack of a random Turkish fella, but he did speak poorly there. Saying the critical atmosphere amongst the fans has been here since day 1 (a pasting at Gillingham) is not clever.

But he has a point when he talks about the squad turnaround that's required. He's now the person best placed to do that as he knows who he can and can't trust. Ie, 90% of the buggers....

No he said it was a hot day so it meant they couldn't play fast football. Anyone who's played amateur sport in weather like that knows what he means. That said we've not played fast football on cold Tuesday nights either. You know, he knows what he wants but can't get it from this squad, bar a few exceptions.
 

Lost a bit of respect for him after that. Still reckon he should be given the chance but more than one snide digs at fans there on the back of the most embarrassing seasons I've ever witnessed.

Thought that his little Coventry remark (We lost because of a deflected goal) was particularly irritating, was it nothing to do with the following 80 mins of garbage football that followed that was the reason???
