Acceptable performances

To be fair…many of the players had variable performances.

Think they were all either acceptable or good 1st half.
McCallum was our best player with O’Hare also very good.

HOWEVER there was a decent spell in that 2nd half….especially once we went 2-1 down….confidence drained out of the players
Most were poor or even worse and some looked tired and stopped running or even trying.
The exception was Callum O’Hare who was the only player trying to pull a goal back.
We were so poor in the middle spell of that 2nd half. Heads were down as we had the look of a relegation team.

Last 15 minutes were were half decent again.
Thought the subs improved us. Davies shows so much composure and little moments of PL quality.
Also thought Brooks and especially Sereki gave us much needed energy in attacking areas. At least we tried to score near the end and came close to equalising.
I suppose there were some positives but also plenty of worrying negatives too.
Think the ability of the players is actually quite good but when you’re in a relegation scrap it’s more about character than ability
And these players dont have character and haven’t gelled as a team. Don’t think Wilder knows his best team.
We have so many options as centre back but we don’t even know our best centre back pairing that works.

Stoke let him go for a reason, its our useless recruitment team what couldn't see why !

His situation at Stoke was similar to Brewster here.

We wanted to keep Brewster but due to his injury record offered him a reduced contract….Derby offered him more.
Stoke wanted to keep Campbell but due to his injury record offered also him a reduced contract….we offered him more.
Both were free transfers….so both Derby and us were able to offer larger then normal contracts.

You've forgotten Cannon!

1st half Cannon was acceptable….actually ran about a bit wanting the ball…5 out of 10 first half
2nd half he went into the dog shit group….like many of his games for us, hardly touched the ball and looked disinterested 2 out of 10.

No they won’t 🐷
I Wouldn't like to bet on us winning.

Shame because the squad last year playing this Wednesday side could have had the potential to have thumped Wednesday. Obv they would set up to just defend and be solid so you can't count on it. And we didn't thump anyone but being a derby game and the difference in qualities it would have been interesting to see.

Expecting a much tighter game than I would have 3-4 weeks ago. The crowd will be behind them too. Gonna be important to be strong and try and get ourselves in front. Do that and we could still get a good win.
Go behind..... Hmmm dread to think.

We had loads of good luck last season and nothing but bad luck this season’s, with average luck against the piggies we’ll win by a good margin..

Disagree, looks like you've gone off reputation rather than performance on the night.

Tom Davies came on and put in his worst performance in a Blades shirt (in the championship at least), whereas Cannon played fairly well.
Agree Cannons movement in the first half was very good

Cannon was actually ok for the first half last night. Put himself about, looked quicker and got involved in some nice link up play. I switched off when we equalised, so can't comment on the rest of the match.

That doesn't make up for him being a non entity in every other game he has played though.

Pretty much agree on the others.

On last night - he's in the 'poor' band - but normally as we know in the 'utter dogshit' band.

We constantly have to have a player that we have to hope against hope they come good - 5 years of this mind torture with Brewster, and now the forever 'non firing Cannon.

It would be lovely to spend multi- millions on a player andhe be worthy of the phrase 'he was worth every penny'.
