Yeah, he's a very little man like that. Fragile ego.Presumably Wilder felt Verrips was forced on him and brought in Foderingham to make a point.

Based on literally everything about him. Just watch his post match interviews when we lost, or last season when things were going from bad to worse with the board.Based purely on a comment made on this thread?
i wish it was that simple, but even if players fancy staying with us (i’d imagine rammers might), the allure of big £££ and big clubs playing in the best league in the world/Europe must be too good to turn down, plus the added allure of turning out for your country. Especially with such a short-lived and fragile career which a footballer has. I don’t blame any of our players for leaving us this summer
Should imagine Sam Johnston and Ben white will be on similar wages but still take your point.I had a similar thought yesterday when Ramsdale came on screen at the end of the game - he must be the only one in that squad on less than £100k/week. As much as he loves the club and enjoys being a part of it, there's going to come a time, probably accelerated by his representatives, when he's going to want a move. I don't know him at all so I may be off the mark, but he doesn't seem to be the type solely motivated by money, so a chance to move to a bigger, more successful club, certainly one in the Prem and potentially one challenging for honours, might be the 'pull' factor that drives him to a move. Having another £70k/week to spend won't hurt either![]()
Just tell them unless it has a '3' at the front, don't bother.BBC now saying Gunners to make firm offer after Euro's. Slav can't get here quick enough for me.

100% correctI’m pretty sure that Rammers will be an Arsenal player before the season kicks off, their interest is genuine, Arteta is a big fan and will pay whatever it takes to get his man.
Utd aren’t in a position to turn down a significant profit and cannot hope to come anywhere near competing on salary. Ramsdale might have a great affection for the club, but a move to Arsenal would make him financially secure for life and he’d be a fool to pass up the opportunity, not that his agent would let him!
Financially secure for life? I’m mean, what’s he on now? £20k+ a week? That’s over a million quid before tax a year.I’m pretty sure that Rammers will be an Arsenal player before the season kicks off, their interest is genuine, Arteta is a big fan and will pay whatever it takes to get his man.

Maybe he thinks he needs more game time before any big move and going to Arsenal would not necessarily give him that for a few years. As much as Rammers might love SUFC and not be actively looking to move on (especially as he only came back last season for our relegation shitshow season) let's call it right. If Arsenal were to come in for him and were to offer Utd some serious money enough for a bid to be accepted, Rammers would have to be off his fkin trolley to turn the move down. As much as it pains me to say it, Arsenal are in another stratosphere to us. I can live with that as a fan as I couldn't really give 2 shits about them or the other major players and SUFC will always be the top club to me but then it's not my career. If the right offer comes in then he's off, and quite rightly too.
Not another one of those off-days he had when dabbling in the transfer market. Doh!Verrips is a better goalkeeper than Foderingham he's absolutely shite what the fuck Wilder was thinking signing him is beyond me.

I mean, if that doesn’t make someone financially secure then what’s the world coming to!!
Is Verrips now back at the Lane and training? Does anyone know?We might have only seen him for 30 mins, but decision makers at the club are likely to have seen more of him. The people with the experience and skill set to assess footballers capabilities are the ones likely to make a decision, and therefore less of a gamble than us fans might think (if he becomes 1st choice).
Yeah was in the video yesterday doing stretches with the rest of the squadIs Verrips now back at the Lane and training? Does anyone know?
I agree. However, will anyone pay the big bucks we are apparently insisting on for Berge? Hopefully, they will.Much rather sell Berge for a similar amount. Hes had a bad injury and from what we've seen so far, playing for us, hes not a 35m player
Rammers on the other hand could be our keeper for the next decade so on a like for like basis is worth a lot more to us than Berge is.
Couldn't resist that one and I know this should be on the entertainment threadHandy Rammers is away. It gives Slav a good chance to evaluate the other keepers.
'm sure I read somewhere that all Verrips talked about in training was porn.
We should five him a go. See if he can rise to the occasion!![]()
Top earning players recently being Ozil, Auba, Partey, Willian and sideshow Bob.Haha probably worth qualifying that as it's Arsenal! They don't tend to be big payers, unless the player is French of course!
Maybe not but, the point is he wont be as financially secure as, say DeGea on £350,000 a week, for doing the same jobFinancially secure for life? I’m mean, what’s he on now? £20k+ a week? That’s over a million quid before tax a year.

yeah its good to know were no longer a soft touch for the big clubs although i very much doubt we can get 40m for rammy think 30m is nearer the markExcellent news arsenal clearly shopping for bargains glad it’s not us that’s going to be the suckers this time
40 million is the we don’t want or need to sell price so either pay this overinflated fee or go away. That’s very positive in a few ways one shows we’ve finally realised that we can play hard ball and two shows we’re on a secure financial footing at least in the short term.yeah its good to know were no longer a soft touch for the big clubs although i very much doubt we can get 40m for rammy think 30m is nearer the mark
