Tom was always on the forum. A lifelong blade. The club have been outstanding. I've been in touch with John Garrett, he and the club couldn't have done anymore for me or my brother. His family are overwhelmed by the support on Twitter and the forum. UTB

I'm glad, but not surprised, that the club are recognising one of their own. This forum is at it's best when one of us is need.

As I said deepest sympathy to you all at this terrible time.

after watching the blades for over 60 years this makes me realise how lucky i am. R I P young man.

Hi everyone, I'm the brother of Tom and I just wanted to say thank you to you all for your support and kindness. He was a brilliant lad and was always looking out for others and it saddens me to lose him, but seeing the support from other blades has really warmed my heart.

Sorry for your loss mate x

That's awful ,I had a friend who died playing footy in Concord park at the same age ,about 30 years ago. Stilll bothers me now ,they named the cup competition in the Sheffield regional Sunday league after him.
Rip Phil and Tom.
I was playing in an end of season game on a rock hard surface, my mate playing just in front of me went up to head the ball under a challenge he went down like nymar and we all laughed at him, as we would, but as he got to his knees he held his hand to his throat and with his other outstretched arm he was pleading to our bench, ambulace came, northern general, iwent to see his brother who was coincidentally playing at concord Park to tell him as they came off at half time, he laughed and said,he's a puff, (we did in the day ) I went to my girlfriends house only to receive a phone call from my brother who went to the hospital to tell me he had died as soon as he was in hospital, he was around 25, a great laugh, a Wednesday fan, it was because of him I got arrested in the penny farthing when he came over with the words "trouble" he was chatting some bird up when her boyfriend turned up,how many times have you heard that!
It all kicked off, coppers came in and I spent a night with him in water lane, one day I will tell you an interesting story of the evening/night, his name was Phil (coincidentally) Bramhall, known as as crumb, sad memory, good luck to the young lads family and friends.hope you don't mind me sharing that story.

Quite similar really ,Seeley collapsed in Concord park in pre season training for the Penguin , his best mate also called Phil !! booted the ball at him and laughed as they were always messing about. He took it really badly and sadly died himself at a young age about 10 years ago ,his brothers are well known amongst Blades a generally around town ,its important that none of these guys are forgotten.
