That's awful ,I had a friend who died playing footy in Concord park at the same age ,about 30 years ago. Stilll bothers me now ,they named the cup competition in the Sheffield regional Sunday league after him.
Rip Phil and Tom.

Horrible, horrible news to hear. Life can be cruel sometimes.

I'd known of him for years and one of my mates worked with him. Seemed like a great lad, a proper Blade and nobody had a bad word to say about him. RIP Tom.

Bloody hell - life can be cruel sometimes.
Rest In Peace young man.
Condolences & love to Tom’s family and friends.

Didn’t know you Tom, or your family. However, to be taken from the world, loved ones and the Blades family so soon in your young life, is heart rending. I wish your friends and family my deepest condolences and I truly hope that you Rest In Peace. I also hope that The Mighty Blades celebrate your life with a win on Saturday but, if not, we will still remember you.

What truly awful news
23 years old FFS
I lost a lifelong mate a few months ago to cancer at the age of 53 and I thought even that was far too young, but 23 !!!!

RIP Tom and condolences to your friends and family

RIP and condolences to his family and friends.

Assuming this is the young man that was on Gosforth Fields.

An absolute tragedy. My thoughts with family and friends.

RIP.

I didn't know him but stumbled upon this on twitter.
Sad news and so young.

Not sure if either post on here.

Jack, the lad who tweeted is a pal of mine and certainly reads this site.
Not sure if the poor lad who's lost his life so tragically young did too.
A terrible shame... RIP young fellah..
