SUFC looked like a team who believed they were going to win, before kick off. Wilder is instilling a winning mentality in these lads. I think we had more shots on goal today than all of last season. Scored four and had four disallowed (harsh in at least one, if not two cases), eight goals!, Incredible.

The ball didn't go in, we simply recycled it and tried again.

Still early days, but this is shaping up to be a good team in the making.

UTB.

I'm very encouraged by how we're approaching every game in the same way and not allowing good results in the previous games to lead to complacency and taking our foot off the gas.

In previous seasons if we won two in a row you'd assume we can't win the next game. It doesn't feel like that with this team.

Maybe it's something to do with having a non loser as manager.

Stats will be interesting Ricky, possession, shots on goal, on target, etc.

Midfielders shooting at goal, from outside the box!

I think anyone questioning Fleck's shooting ability will have realised their error in judgement after today!

True, he didn't seem scared to pull the trigger, great to see

Seen two sides of us over the past two games. First, at Fleetwood, battling on right till the very end in adversity & ending up getting just deserts. Then today, dominating but keeping up the pressing game throughout and not letting standards drop even though Port Vale had been broken.

Very good signs indeed.

(Be just like us to go to woeful Shrewsbury now, not turn up, and pathetically gift them a 1-0 or something...)

He's got a rocket on him. I put it down to that big arse. A bit like Charlie Adam.

I thought he kicked it with his foot? Must depend on where you sit in the ground, which view you get ;)
