A few transfer related updates

All advertisments are hidden for logged in members, why not log in/register?

Am I right in thinking that the rumour mill is off-limits to guests, and only General Blades Chat is visible to non-members?

I don't mind people posting rumours on here, but I do wish that members wouldn't repost potential ITK info on Twitter to the general public as Nathan has above. I'd rather the rumours stayed purely between Blades fans.. but maybe that's just me.

Just putting this out there: not everyone wants to post on everything Tarqs. It's all good if you want to post over 7 times a day, but some people just want to read the conversations rather than get stuck in.

Not sure about this, I've just gone to a different browser in incognito mode and can see Rumour Mill and all posts. 🤷

We should have some sort of blood oath system - you can only join in the rumour board by blood sacrifice in some weird cult ritual where you swear allegiance to the ITKers and vow to honour the rumour mill's secrecy at all costs.

I get what you mean pal, sadly never gonna happen though!

Talking about Vital, poked my nose onto the Blades Board and half the threads were about identity politics gripes. They need a Rumour Mill section!

Realality.... i think I've a realistic outlook ... only been watching them since 1966 so I have my opinion you have yours .... it was a free country, obviously not anymore.
 

Things are starting to worry me. We have 4 weeks until we kick off the new season and our squad is looking really light. Thought we would have had at least 2 through the door by now
 
Yep could do with them all ready to go from the first minute.

Relax - it was exactly the same at this point last season too, when we had no idea if our squad could Even compete at this level.

Everyone wants players but Almost no transfers have been completed so far. Things take time and often it’s a chain reaction with transfers, Player a has to move to allow player b to move in which allows player c to move etc etc etc.

I’m not denying it wouldn’t be good to have a few in the door already but wilder won’t leave us short for the season

I know what you’re saying but there have been barely any signings across the division so far.
 
Aren't most players and staff still on holiday? Its a much smaller window this time, but they are still having a bit of time off. We’ve seen that Alan Knill is away with his family and yesterday the club tweeted pictures of Sander Berge visiting his old youth team, so he’s in Norway. It will be the same with every other player of ours and other clubs. Agents can handle most of it and theres always the phone, but stuff like medicals and actually visiting the club/training ground and signing contracts wont happen while the player is sunning himself in Marbella or in this years Covid- enforced case, Great Yarmouth.

Expect most will be back from holidays and in training from next week (barring the teams who have been/still are in the EL and CL). Thats when things will get moving.

My missus is already pissed off with my being on S24SU all the time -she's not going to like that one bit 😮

When you look elsewhere though, other than free transfers or low fee transfers not that much business is being done at the moment. Only the Ake transfer has been the standout so far this transfer window plus a bit of shrewd business by Brighton. Leeds have made signings but mostly youngsters and keeping Shackleton.

Sadly I think most clubs are leaving it til the final few weeks before blinking first on transfers.
