Nothing yet agreed for Cash, not sure why £15m was the reported bid, it was quite a bit less.
Following ArcticRiz ’s original post its come out that the Matty Cash offer WAS way lower than reported, and that we’ve not gone back in for Ramsdale.
The original post says quite a bit less than £15m. The figure was widely reported at the time as £10m which is quite a bit less than £15m.

Considering that this is such a short window, it also seems remarkably slow. Very few deals seem to be going through anywhere, when I expected the complete opposite with the season re starting so quickly.

Ours always seem to drag on at the best of times.

Stretch...it should be a buyers market in this environment...but it looks like some of the prices quoted by chsmpionship sides are way too high. I suspect prices will come down as some of the championship sides panic about next seasons revenue. Its OK Forest quoting 15m for Cash but if that means he stays are they better off accepting 10-12m to plug the hole created by their attendance revenue being way below what would have been budgeted ?

Such a short window? July 27th to October the 4th is short?

Denis isn't leaving there was a statement earlier from from Harry saying he'll never go.

According to forest fan I know, they need to sell Cash or Lolly to fund an overhaul in the rest of the squad.

He was a bit down when we spoke

Got to say neither Cash nor Lolley seem to be a patch on Swift (going by their compilation vids).

Matty Cash is a really bright prospect. A great athlete, rapid, competitive, loves a challenge, strong ball carrier & has some end product (although delivery could improve). He's ready made for the Premier League & would be great in our system. Still only 23.

Swift vs Lolley is a fairer comparison as both play as right sided midfielders(ish) charged with creating chances.

Lolley is more of a wide man, that likes cutting inside. He carries goal threat and is a bit quicker with the ball.
From what I've seen of Swift (which is less than the other two - I have a few mates who support Forest so tend to watch their games) he plays more centrally, less advanced & likes to put his foot on it.
He's slower than Lolley, but has better ball retention skills and is decent at creating chances.

I'm not sure whether either Swift, or Lolley have enough of an engine / the industry to play our RCM role, but both would improve our squad in terms of giving us a creative outlet from the bench.

Having said that, L Freeman reminds me of a left footed Swift /Lolley and hardly got a look in this season.
I think we need better to be honest.

We can always use better, but at what price?

If you're looking at signing a quality RCM player, that has industry, can retain possession & create chances in the final third? It's difficult & definitely would have to go overseas - but you're looking probably at the £15-25m mark.
That's where we're at now though. They're the sorts of sums needed to improve on what we have here.

Lolley from what I've just watched is left footed and barely uses his right although he does play right midfield.
I'll suspend judgement on Cash as highlights rarely show tackles unless it's showboat stuff.

Yes, plays wide right and cuts inside.

Lolley reminds me of Reach, albeit a bit of a better athlete. Purple patch of screamers to make people think he's a better player than they actually are

25 days away from the start of the new season, any new players we sign will have a hill to climb to get in the starting eleven, except for the goallie I believe we'll start as at Southampton, maybe Mousett on the bench. Due to the financel situation lot of transfers will drag out more than ever. With deadline day early october, we could possibly wait for the new signings to settle well into early winter.

Aye, that'll definitely get em up to speed with the rest of the squad. I miss those good old fashioned pre-season fitness routines (said no bugger ever).

i guess we will find out if Moose and Berge will be world beaters, after the magical pre season

well its not hard, but only that alot bang on about how the likes of Berge need a full pre season to get the best out of them. And to be honest, I hope thats true! But Im not so sure.

you dont have to be sorry, unless your someone who works closely with em. Then you should
